Glee Season 2 Ep 9 : Special Education

BRITTANY & MIKE CHANG FTW!!!

I love watching those two dance. I could not keep my eyes off them the entire time. Awesome.

Rachel & Kurt were adorable. I'm glad they're exploring this friendship. They're both drama queens and it was cute to see them bonding. I think they understand each other in a way nobody else can. I do miss Kurt with Mercedes though. I want to see more scenes with them together.

Puck has lost his mojo.

Artie is redeeming himself with Brittany. He is slowly becoming a nicer boyfriend.

Finn, on the other hand, is still a clueless *******. Why does he always look so tired and sour-faced?

Santana is really vicious. Her seething hate for Rachel is unattractive.

Sam and Quinn are boring, boring, boring, as usual. Their voices were too weak to carry that song. It was dull and bland. The performance picked up immensely with Valerie and Brittany & Mike's Epicness. Otherwise, Time Of My Life was a snooze-fest.

Gossip Girl Season 4 Ep 10 : Gaslit

Today's episode of Gossip Girl was brought to you by plot contrivance.

I don't believe that Blair or Chuck wouldn't tell Nate about Serena's overdose. They've shown that no matter what they are able to put shit behind them when it really counts to be there for each other. I don't buy that Chuck wouldn't talk to Serena and believe her because he's probably the only character that hasn't judged her. I also don't buy that Dan wouldn't believe the worst in Serena because that's one of the reason they broke up. They don't talk and he judges her.

Lily, however, was very much in character. I wish to God Rufus wasn't married to her. I've hated this relationship since I've seen it on my screen.

I also don't buy that Blair wouldn't tell Lily what she found out about Jenny. I hope she tells Dan that Vanessa was involved.

Seriously, I haven't liked how Jenny looked since season 1. I always hate when actors influence how their character looks and Taylor Momsen is my reason why.

Dorota is no longer necessary for me. She works much better as a background character...even more than she is now.

I knew Serena was choosing Dan but did they forget that they share a sibling?!

You know what else fell flat to me? There was a lot of talk about past-Serena and drugs but we haven't seen it. I want a flashback show! I want to see this reckless person Serena was before the show started.

90210 Season 3 Ep 10: Best Lei'd Plans

I think 90210 wins the award for most awkwardly staged advertisement masquerading as storyline when Silver was talking to Navid with the videophone.

Otherwise, not a terrible episode. The storylines are all over the place, and there doesn't seem to be a lot keeping the characters together, but it was mostly not awful. Well the Adrianna/Silver/Navid triangle is mostly dumb. Though I really want to see how Silver reacts to not only being quasi-dumped for Adrianna by Navid, but also being dumped by Teddy for Ian. Talk about not being able to catch a break.

I will say that I continue to enjoy Teddy's storyline. It's overly simplistic and it moves at a glacial pace, but I'm glad they finally moved it forward with an actual kiss.

The rest is meh. I don't see what Naomi would see in Oscar, I don't care about Debbie's dating life and the whole Liam storyline is just weird and completely disconnected from the rest of the show. Also, Annie's hair is awful and she serves no purpose.

The Walking Dead Season 1 Ep 5 : Wildfire

Sweet! Noah Emmerich as the CDC guy. He is one of those actors I have seen in a ton of stuff (White Collar, Miracle, Windtalkers) and I always like him. Can't wait to see what is going to go down with his character.

I found the episode to be solid, but kind of slow at first. I felt for Andrea and Laurie Holden once again acted the hell out of her scenes, but I did find it annoying that she didn't just tell someone that she was planning on finishing off Amy herself, and keep them in suspense all that time. But I guess losing someone you love can make you go crazy a bit. And Jim, poor Jim. Trying to hide the bite was stupid and I can easily understand why everyone would be pissed and even why Daryl wanted to just go ahead and end it. But I still felt bad for him.

Shane can go back to shutting the hell up. I really doubt the body count would have been much less had Rick and the other three not stayed, and even then, it's probably best not to play the blame game when you're still burying the bodies. Besides, it goes both ways. Maybe you should have had a guard or something keeping watch, Shane old buddy. Jackass.

Glenn didn't do too much tonight, but at least Dale had plenty of awesome moments. And he definably is onto Shane considering killing Rick. Curious to see how that will play out.

Bummed that it is already the season finale. It's not perfect, but I've really been getting into this show and I can't wait to see where it goes in future episodes.

Dexter Season 5 Ep 10 : In The Beginning

Oh wow. That was intense.

Tick Tick Tick

Debs is only a step behind, and so is RoboCop and Quinn. Always a step but only a step and getting closer to figuring out that there is someone out their killing off Jordan Chase and his merry band of rapists.

Tick Tick Tick

I am really enjoying the relationship between Dexter and Lumen. Dexter is finally able to be who he truely is with someone. Harry only saw the monster in Dexter, Lumen however sees the man. When the dude they killed asked Lumen to give him a number and she said "13" I got chills. When she plunged the knife into him...even more chills. You've come a long way baby.

Tick Tick Tick.

Jordan Chase that's the sound of the rest of your life ticking away.

The Avengers Earth's Mightiest Heroes: Gamma World Part 1 & 2

"Gammaworld" was great. Especially liked the "OH SHIT" moments, when most of the team -- after getting their asses banged around in the first part -- turning into gamma-powered monsters.

Also liked the Hulk/Hawkeye/Thor team-up, and Thor controlling Absorbing Man after the villain wound up powering up by touching his hammer.

Looks like we'll have to wait a few weeks until the big Avengers/Masters Of Evil throwdown.

Young Justice Season 1 Ep 1 : Independence Day

In all, amazing fight sequences, witty dialogue, impressive voice castings, overall solid scripts and direction/production are some of the things I expect to be carried over from this pilot and maintained throughout the first season! This episode proved a lovely ride for a thorough DC comic fan, and I must say, despite a few shortcomings, I was impressed and pleased.

Modern Family Season 2 Ep 9 : Mother Tucker

Oh man. I LOVED this.

All the scenes of Cam's mother touching Mitchell inappropriately were great. I was howling. Love Mitchell saying during his talking head, "If I had one complaint, and I do..." Also, "Force field!"

Gloria fixing her dislocated shoulder was priceless. Love Jay's face after she did it. Of course this was no big deal to Manny. Love him as the doctor on the golf course.

I figured it was appendicitus since Jay was holding his right side. Diverticulitis, which I have, normally occurs on the left side.

The Dunphy story was great, too.

Phil: Sad face emoticon. I feel his hurt thru the phone.

Dylan: I guess I'll get going so I can be alone forever.

Haley: Don't play dumb, Dylan.
Dylan: I'm NOT. I'm never playing dumb.

The scene where Haley calls back whoever called Dylan was great. Love that Phil covered the phone and whispered to Claire when everyone's standing right there.

One thing I really like about this show is that some jokes are predictable in a way, but the show does them slightly differently. For instance, I figured that Mitchell was going to fail in trying to get Cam to see his mom touching him, and that Mitchell would do stuff like push his butt in her face, but the show got thru that joke quickly. And Haley's assumption that Dylan was seeing another girl didn't go too long either. On some sitcoms that would be the whole half-hour, but it was just a setup for other jokes.

Glee Season 2 Ep 8 : Furt

Furt Promo Pic

An interesting offering tonight. Dramatically, this was a good episode of the Kurt Hummel Power Hour. There were some great moments and the wedding songs were nice. There were many things I liked about this episode and it resolved some of the outstanding story arcs which was nice.

My main complaint is.....practically everything was about Kurt, even when it shouldn't have been. I understand this was a continuation of Kurt's story and Kurt's a great character, but this is becoming overkill. Enough already. I want to move on to some of the other characters now.

Take the wedding for example. This was supposed to be Carole and Burt's moment, but it was turned into a Kurt dedication. It wasn't a wedding - it was one big Kurt appreciation slash apology party. And way too much laundry was aired at that wedding to the point that it was cringe-inducing. Sadly, Carole and Burt were bit-part players in their own wedding.

Secondly, the hatchet job the writers did on Finn's character was extraordinary. Basically Finn was portrayed as a selfish, self-centered liar, who doesn't care a wit about Kurt, and as a deceitful, lying boyfriend who won't man up even when his girlfriend asks him to grow a spine. I was shocked at the level of character assasination here. He will need a long redemption arc to please many of the Kurt and Rachel fans who will likely be howling over his complete lack of conscience and balls.

I will admit it - I was hoping that Finchel would topple tonight, but the writers couldn't even accomplish that, even after the Finn character assasination. Where was Rachel's outrage over his behavior and lack of character?

Overall, I felt shortchanged by the complete focus on one character. Based on next weeks episode, it appears this trend will continue. Some will like this, others will not. Should be interesting to see what happens.

Dexter Season 5 Ep 9 : Teenage Wasteland

Not bad,  Heartwarming stuff with Astor. I got something in my eye.

The return of Harry! I really wonder what that device is supposed to be. Does this mean Dexter is proud of himself? Or does it just represent what Dex thinks Harry would think, and not indicative of Dex's own emotions?

Masuka's jokes about Dex's daughter and her friend were so wrong. He's so into making the dirtiest joke he can, he is totally missing a serial killer under his nose.

But Deb may not be for much longer. She found out a lot this episode. Lumen's existence, Dexter's connection to Jordan, Quinn's suspicions, and the nature of the little rapists gang. Soon she may have a conversation with robocop. I think this may be the season she puts it all together.

Jordan is shaping up to be quite the villain. Funny how we go from a lame-ass name for a character to the simple utterance of that same name being full of doom gasp-worthy.

Next week looks epic.

The Walking Dead Season 1 Ep 4 : Vatos

Wow, was this episode intense. I need more than 6 episodes.

I like Darryl but it may just be because I have a weakness for Norman Reedus. I did have a smile on my face when he was upset about them taking Glenn.

I rolled my eyes at the vatos and the old people. Yes, it was really cute and I love the way Abuelita ended the stand-off but come on! They do have a pretty sweet set up even though its in zombie central.

How do they clean the infected blood off of them? I take it they don't have any bleach sitting around. And with all the work they're doing, wouldn't they have cuts on their hands thus getting zombie blood in their system?

I think its time for camp to get a move on and it looks like they will. Yes they have water and a food source but they're way too close to the city thus zombie attack.

Did they lose more than two people with a possible third going down?

Reel Review : 127 Hours

PLOT: The true story of mountain climber Aron Ralston (James Franco), who was trapped in a canyon for 127 HOURS after a loose boulder pinned his arm.

It's Always Sunny Season 6 Ep 10: Charlie Kelly: King of the Rats

Well I think this is the closest Sunny will ever get to a heart warming episode and of course it would have to include scenes of graphic sex and mentions of rat genocide.

But it did indeed warm my heart.

Community Season 2 Ep 9: Conspiracy Theories and Soft Defenses

Oh my God do I want Professor Professorson's ringtone. Dun, dun, duuuuuunnnn!

Loved the tent city(how much random did they fit in there? like a civil rights museum and a Pierce's mom's memorial tunnel. I love this show), the car explosion(I was doubled over in laughter. I can watch that on a loop), the music , Dean Dangerous - I legit want to read this book, Abed speaking Polish, the tag, Jeff Winger - Lordy did Joel look hot this episode, the line "You are going to Nancy screw-me out of my credit", the night school courses "History of something","Did you just misprouncoue the word 'etcetera?'""My Latin class is fake Jeff!", Annie's got a gun!, "Would that this hoodie were a time hoodie!" Cougar Town shout out. Flove that show.

Modern Family Season 2 Ep 8 : Dash, Flash, Crash

I love this show. The crying, the flash mob, Luke in general, the BB gun, everything. My favourite moment tonight, though, was seeing Alex get in on the fun when she started rooting for Phil to win the race. She was FULL into it. We hardly ever see Alex like that and I enjoyed every second of it.

Manny: "Never change, Luke". Wise words. Luke is my stand out for S2. Funny in S1, sure, but he's at a whole other level this season with how hilarious and adorable he is.

Teaser Trailer For Cowboys & Aliens

This week has certainly seen some big trailers surface. Yesterday saw the release of The Green Lantern trailer, and today the first trailer for Cowboys and Aliens has been released.

The film directed by Jon Favreau ( Iron Man )  stars Daniel Craig, Olivia Wilde, Harrison Ford, Sam Rockwell, and Paul Dano as denizens of an Old West city who encounter an alien attack. The film is based on the 2006 graphic novel of the same name and will hit theaters July 29, 2011.

Green Lantern Trailer

The first trailer has surfaced for Martin Campbell's The Green Lantern. Check it out in all of it's full green glory

Ok i'll have to admit I've had my doubts but that was freakin sweet. The CGI/Suit looks far better here than in the other clips shown

Glee Season 2 Ep 7: The Substitute

Oh, Brittany S. Peirce, I’m sorry that you just learned how to spell half of your name.

Terri Schuester… I love you. You’re kinda evil, but you were the best actress in the episode and I appreciate that.

Will Schuester, thank-you for coming back from the suckyville and being the great, well-rounded character I missed. There is still some shaping up to do, but I think you’re up to the challenge.

That being said… Make Em Laugh? Best Musical Number in two weeks (well three if you count Election Day). It was fabulous! And Harry Shum Jr. kicked ass as well. Prefect. It actually made me laugh.

I’m glad that the whole Karovsky/Kurt-Kiss-Thing was not dropped in replacement of some actress with very little charisma promoting her movie. I’m still not sure how I feel about Blaine.

Mercedes date the hot running back. I understand that he is one of the few black kids at your school and you disagree with stereotypes, but he fine.

Oh, and the whole tots gag… that’s about 8 years late.

Holly Holiday, you’re the worst substitute teacher ever. Granted I went to a high school where the
Substitutes were more respected than some of the teachers, but still.

Little kindergarten version of New Directions. SO CUTE!! [Sorry, I need to get that out.]

Gossip Girl Season 4 Ep 9 : The Witches Of Bushwick

So, I sympathized for Juliet last week, but was totally creeped out this week. Drugging S like that--not ok. And, with that, I think she took back the psychopath title back from Jenny. (Whatever Jenny's grievances, I don't believe she would go so far as to drug someone after being drugged herself last season.)

I hated Vanessa this episode except for the first scene. Dan/Nate's epic bromance is what makes the show.

My bipolar feelings towards Chuck and Blair continue. They have great chemistry and I'm glad to see them getting along, but why must Blair be the only one to change? Chuck needs to clean up his act too...and not just with a "hedonist with heart" way either. He needs to prove he cares about her. That he won't use her the way he did with IP ever again. (I do think Chuck can continue living a decadent hedonist lifestyle, but he needs to show his loyalty to Blair with more than just a masque ball. Or an I love you said during sex.) So in this respect, ChuckandBlair seem very season 2....Chuck does nothing while Blair steps up to the plate.

90210 Season 3 Ep 9 : They're Playing Her Song

Another decent episode. I like how the writers sneaked in the re-write of Teddy's history to make it seem like Ian wasn't the first guy he had feelings for.

Poor Navid has to be the man of the house. Thank you writers for finally giving him something besides obsessed over Ade...

...speaking of Adrianna she's back to annoying me again.

I'm not sure about Charlie's story. I want to hear Liam's side. Then again I as much as I love Evan Ross I find the whole thing with Charlie, Liam and Annie boring although it was funny when she came out of that bathroom.

Debbie and Ryan have been through a lot lately so I'm okay with them getting theirs. Lol.

Dexter Season 5 Ep 8 : Take It

Un-fucking-believable. A living proof that changing a showrunner can really revitalize a show. I was 100% sure that Dexter's better days were far behind, and then they go and give us this.

Love Dexter/Lumen. A poignant, touching relationship. I think it's the highlight of the season.

And Laguerta finally getting her bitch act on. How long have we been waiting for this, show? Thank you.

Peter Weller is so awesome as a crooked cop who is unexpectedly good as his job. I wonder what he knows or suspects about the content of the sacks Lumen and Dex were throwing in the ocean.

While watching, I didn't understand if Jordan Chase was purposefully delaying Dexter, although the ending scene between them proves that he wasn't. Still, there were probably cameras all over the place and he should recognize Lumen when he'll see the recording.

The Walking Dead Season 1 Ep 3 : Tell It To The Frogs

Another great episode, IMO! I really liked the opening scene - even though Merle as a character is a scumbag, the actor was pretty fascinating to watch.

I was fully expecting him to saw off his hand, because he just seemed to be that delirious, but it does present a lot of problems. The least of which is that I don't know how anyone could successfully hacksaw off their own limb without passing out, but whatever. I also would've expected  there to be blood everywhere, and I wonder how he would've gotten off the roof - and warded off whatever zombies he came into contact with - using only one hand. How can he realistically survive after that kind of injury?

I was glad to find out Lori wasn't knowingly cheating on her husband, but I'm still not sure if Shane deliberately lied or if he honestly did think Rick would have never survived. I was hoping to see Rick finding out what's been going on in his absence, but I guess we have to wait until next episode.

Desperate Housewives Season 7 Ep 8 : Sorry Grateful

SERIOUSLY. I am generally easily entertained, but this had to be one of the most boring episodes of the entire series. Isn't it sweeps month? Isn't this the time of year for tornadoes and plane crashes and supermarket shootouts on Wisteria Lane? I don't mind predictable. Let's be honest, this show will always be predicable. But I can usually find a way to be somewhat engaged and enjoy the ride. Not tonight.

I did laugh at Susan and Lynette chasing each other around. But I watched the rest of the episode with a stone face.

Avengers Earth's Mightiest Heroes: Everything Is Wonderful

The introduction of Wonder Man, and the prominent mention of Ultron in the same episode, makes me think they're setting up to bring in the Vision at some point.

It's Always Sunny Season 6 Ep 9: Dee Reynolds: Shaping America's Youth

This episode made me laugh so hard I thought I was going to have a heart attack.

One thing I loved was that the students were INTO the movie. They loved it by the end! Just like the Night Man musical.

For that matter, none of them seemed to notice the blackface.

This season has been great because the stories have, oddly, gotten smaller. They're much more about just letting the gang riff on each other or manufacture their own strange little worlds than engaging in schemes, and it's almost given the series a heart. Sure, they still try to screw each other over constantly, but there's something kind of sweet about how they all sort of get each other. Well, Dee is pretty much the saddest TV character since Arnold Judas Rimmer, but otherwise they seem pretty happy with their weird, insular lives.

Kanye West f/ Talib Kweli & Consequence – ‘Chain Heavy’

G.O.O.D. Music in effect but where was Mos Def on this track ?

Community Season 2 Ep 8: Cooperative Calligraphy

Best episode of the season? I think so.

The cast and writers just brought it. I was howling all the way through Abed's extremely rational (and plausible) explanation of why he's been tracking the girls' periods (plus the revelation that Shirley was, er, ovulating on Halloween...yikes). And how, exactly, does Britta know what underwear Jeff "usually" wears?

All the political stuff, like the references to airport security, Gitmo, and racial profiling, was hilarious and on-point without being preachy or obnoxious, which was awesome as well.

Rihanna Feat Drake Whats My Name Official Video

The number 1 single in the country and Rihanna's eighth number 1 single has a video. Simple yet captures the song perfectly this era is shaping up to be a great one so far.

The Dark Knight Rises Leading Ladies ?

Hot on the heels of the recent news of Tom Hardy's casting in the upcoming Dark Knight Rises, Christopher Nolan's final entry in the Batman series comes the news that he's meeting with several actresses for two potential film roles. It's said that one will be a potential love interest and the other a villain. The actresses meeting with Mr Nolan are Natale Portman, Naomi Watts, Rachel Weisz, Anne Hathaway, Keira Knightley, and Blake Lively. I think the biggest interest is who the female villain will be. The obvious and most popular choice is Catwoman, but I think Mr Nolan may have a trick or two up his sleeve and go with Harley Quinn, or Talia Al Ghul which would in a way bring the film full circle. So here goes : Naomi Watts for the love interest, Anne Hathaway for Harley Quinn, and Rachel Weisz as Talia or Catwoman.

The Vampire Diaries Season 2 Ep 9 : Katerina

Warlocks! Holy crap. What next?

Well, we finally got some answers on so many of the big questions on the mythology side anyway. Nifty trick making it so that one side of the curse or the other can be lifted, but not both. I wonder what determines which side gets broken, considering the sacrifice consists of a human, a vampire, and a werewolf? I’m guessing the Petrova doppelganger is what will swing it to the vampire side.

Katherine did nothing to redeem herself. I think it’s safe to say she’ll be a bitch til the end. I was actually starting to feel some sympathy for her, but I don’t know.

Stefan and Caroline were fun together. I see a bit of a spark there.

Damon and Rose. Oh Boy. Good to see Damon get some satisfaction. Unlike Jeremy who gets crushed once again.

Elena and Stefan. Are they back together or not? Can anyone tell?

Vampires can compel other vampires if they are strong enough. Yet more rules to puzzle.

OMG. The last scene. The plot thickens.

Keri Hilson - Pretty Girl Rock (Video Premiere)

Keri Hilson dropped the video to her second single Pretty Girl Rock from her upcoming album No Boys Allowed. The video directed by Joseph Kahn pays homage to entertainers who paved the way for artist like Ms Hilson and countless others. They probably won't but Interscope needs to get this era together, they have a great video now it's time to deliver

Undercovers Season 1 Ep 8 : Crashed

Racer X = Samantha's mentor. Did Sam mention that she knew to wonder about the bump/chip/whatever from working with him? I wonder if they have time to explain before going off the air.

It's nice to see that Hoyt can fight.

Shaw still hasn't figured out that Hoyt's loyalty is primarily to the Blooms? I couldn't believe that he was surprised Hoyt went back for them.

Glee Season 2 Ep 6 : Never Been Kissed

That was a pretty good episode. I kind of enjoyed it. I absolutely loved Blaine as a new character and the Karofsky twist was a pleasant surprise. The irony of one gay guy victimizing another gay guy is a weird angle that I didn't think the writers would ever tackle on this show. So bonus points for taking on the hard stuff.

I didn't quite understand the "intervention" Blaine and Kurt tried to pull on Karofsky. Why in the hell would Karofsky being gay all of a sudden make Kurt and Blaine sympathize with him to the point where they would try to help him? A bully is a bully. Kurt should have had him expelled on the grounds of sexual assualt and battery.

The musical numbers were OK - the Girls won this round IMO. Also, it was great to have Puck back. He was in great form this episode.

If there is an Emmy for this episode, it should go to Max Adler. He really pulled off that locker room scene. That was brilliant.

Cee Lo Green – “Bright Lights, Bigger City” | Official Video

The second single from Cee-Lo's album The Lady Killer in stores now has a awesome video to go along with an equally awesome song.

Gossip Girl Season 4 Ep 8 : Juliet Doesn't Live Here Anymore

The Dean smacking down Vanessa asking "who are you?" Hysterical. So true, why is Vanessa even around still?

Vanessa's sudden evil turn was OOC. Juliet came off more understanding. Juliet has reasons for her Serena hate, I'm starting to believe that Ben really is innocent and Serena did something to him. Serena's done nothing to hurt Vanessa on purpose.

Isn't Jenny supposed to be in Hudson because of her speech about being above this all and better than Blair & Chuck? Yet she's joining forces with Juliet to hurt Serena who has done nothing to Jenny?

Serena bounced between so many dates/men this episode I got whiplash. It's Colin, no it's Dan, no it's Colin, then it's Nate, oh it's Dan again. Dan looks like her choice, but she needs to step up and be decisive on it.

Nate could be her soulmate, both are wishy washy and bounce from people like ping pong balls.

What did Chuck do to be Blair's friend? A quickie take down makes bedding raccoon eyes and whoring Blair to a rapist disappear. Where was Chuck as this "friend" when he was verbally abusing Blair to ruin her life and take everything from her, 2 episodes ago? She has sex with him and that fixes everything. Blair's become a joke of a character, she used to be strong with a backbone. She's comic relief right now.

90210 Season 3 Ep 8 : Mother Dearest

I guess Teddy took Navid's usual role as the invisible 90210-er this week.

So let me make sure I understand. One of Navid's classmates insists Navid's dad knew she was underage, and a "sting" with Silver dressed like a ho where her confirmation of what Navid's dad does is heard second hand from another actress. This is Navid's incontrovertible proof? Navid is one stupid guy. I hope that he is right because if he isn't, he's just destroyed his father.

Color me shocked about Jen. I didn't expect her to just abandon her mansion and baby. I'll say I don't care for the character, but I did feel a little bad when she was being judged by the mommy brigade. I also noticed in the scene where the baby fell, that they mistakenly left the mark for the placement of the baby on the floor under the baby's head. I did find it kind of weird that neither Ryan nor Jen suggested getting the baby checked out after the fall. Chances are he is fine, but that was a pretty big drop.

As for Annie, I think any college essay she writes is going to have to be a long explanation of how she has made amends after she killed someone. Colleges tend to want that kind of thing explained rather than gooey odes to mommy.

And really Navid and Liam, shunning Ivy because of Dixon? Give me a break. She did nothing wrong.

Dexter Season 5 Ep 7 : Circle Us

Wow! So much happened in this episode, I don't know where to begin.

First of all, though I'm loving the Dexter/Lumen story, I hope he really sees that she's SO not mentally stable for what she appears to be offering, or building up to ... yet. I hope Lumen will survive the season, but I'd like her to survive it whole and not end up in a mental health facility. I'm worried that she might eventually confuse Dexter for one of the guys who abused her, and that he might have to perform a mercy killing.

Dexter should have clued Deb in on the fact that he was letting a friend stay at the house for a while. He could have said that they met at a Grief Counseling session or something. Now, if Quinn spills the beans, Deb will be suspicious of Lumen and suspicious of whether or not Dex was banging her before Rita's death. Those sunglasses may pop up again. I can't say it enough ... I really, really hope they leave Lumen alive and whole at season's end. Killing or further impairing her would be such a waste, because she seems like such an awesome person when she's in her lucid moments.

LOL!! Lumen sure whacked the hell out of Cole with that flashlight when she saved Dexter, didn't she? :)

I had a feeling that things would go down that way at Club Mayan. I think Laguerta is about to be demoted--again.

The Walking Dead Season 1 Ep 2 : Guts

"We need more guts."

That was the single best "hide in plain sight" sequence of any zombie story ever. For real. The set-up with Wayne (awesome gore, a sweet euology, and a hilarious moment for Andrew Lincoln with the first aborted ax swing), Rick's zombie impression, the balance of trying to be on their guard for the smell going away without getting paranoid and calling attention to themselves, the last little action sequence. All fantastic stuff.

I loved everyone in the store. Glenn especially. He's my favorite character right now. The people at the camp I don't care about, still, but we'll get there, I guess.

Desperate Housewives Season 7 Ep 7 : A Humiliating Business

Decent episode. I was genuinely surprised and laughed out loud when Keith's mother was revealed. I also laughed at the Tom Scavo dig between Gaby and Bob.

Susan, blah, Lynette, blah, Renee, blah.

I liked how Bree's SL ended. Very realistic and kind of sad. They both now recognize that they won't last, but why not hold onto each other until the end. And I do look forward to them ending. I prefer Bree single (she was my favorite during season two, when it was just her and a bottle...) and I hope she stays unmarried for the remainder of the series. I think the character can pull it off. Let's just have her go on adventures with Andrew. After all the guys they have matched her with over the years, she still has the best chemistry with Shawn Pyfrom (non-sexual of course).

I'm enjoying Paul/Beth/Felicia. One could say it is just like season five's "Dave has a revenge scheme that will slowly unfold over 23 episodes" plot, but this is far less boring and I am actually intrigued. Plus, the fact that Beth/Felicia are hatching their own scheme to take care of Paul adds a very interesting element. It's like two comic book villains pitted against one another. Looking forward to seeing how it all turns out. I hope it's filled with crazy (I am one of those people that prefers DH when it's over the top...bring on the tornadoes and plane crashes!)

Early in the episode, between scenes, there was that quick "flash" of a white picket fence. I haven't seen them do that since the earlier seasons, right? Or maybe it's so quick that I've missed it in the later seasons? Regardless, they do it very rarely. I wonder why they edit that in sometimes. This show is so random...

It's Alkways Sunny Season 6 Ep 8 Mac Fights Gay Marriage

Jason Sudeikis. Swoon. Nice touch, show.

Dee seemed to have some drive this episode, which I liked. Does anyone remember if a Smitty was mentioned during the episode where the gang had the house and wanted to try to meet new people (with the "muscle" flyer)? I know they tossed around a few names.

A few funny lines  - I agree that Mac's "I can have FRIES?" line was hilarious, and I also liked how Charlie said he was a good fit at the school for how slippery he made the floors.

The Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes : Living Legend

Good to see Cap and Black Panther in action, as well as the freakiness that is Armin Zola. I still can't see how Cap's shield can ricochet off walls, smack the hell out of bad guys . . . then Cap catches it as it goes, like, 200 mph lol.

Community Season 2 Ep 7: Aerodynamics of Gender

Mean Girl Abed walking through the cafeteria and spouting insults was fantastic: "Nice bangs, five head. Peg jeans. Gross feet." And the best part? He even insults his juice box!

I think any episode after the zombie awesomeness of last week would be a let down, but I enjoyed this one. Lots of good jokes: Britta's, "This is a bitch free zone!" (I LOVE when Britta lets down her guard, and says and does the dorkiest things ever. Her dog woof was priceless!); Pierce and Leonard still working together, Troy and Abed in the Morning with Alex/Starburns as their guest ("These things give you salmonella!"), Jeff's Uggs and the secret gardener with his secret swastika tattoo -- "It's going to be a maze!" And I loved the dreamy, Vaseline lens filter they used for the Trampoline scenes. It was a nice touch.

The Vampire Diaries Season 2 Ep 8 : Rose

I loved this episode. Really really loved it. Slower paced, but great character stuff all around. And hey! They actually pretended the kids are going to school!

I like the relationship that Caroline and Tyler have but I hope it stays platonic. I also don't fault Caroline for telling Tyler what she is, he obviously wasn't gonna let it go and I think she sort of kept it contained by telling him that she is the only vampire in town. I think Bonnie and Jeremy were really sweet together and it will be interesting to see where that goes.

Enjoyed all the reveals about doppelgangers and their purpose and it really ups the stakes with how important both Katherine and Elena are

New Trailer For Zack Snyder's Sucker Punch

A new trailer has emerged for Zack Snyder's upcoming film Sucker Punch. This trailer is a bit more cohesive as it gives a bit more insight into what the film is about, while still managing to look as great as the first trailer. I think the Superman franchise is in great hands.

Modern Family Season 2 Ep 7 : Chirp

"He endangered my kid..." I want Jay to be my stepdad.

It's amazing that such a brilliant comedy can have moments with such heart - better than what one sees on just about any drama. That was one of my favorite scenes of the episode.

The Claire|Haley subplot was another great integration of humor and heart. I loved the confusion of Claire trying to criticize Haley's boyfriend, but telling a story that sounds totally plausible to her daughter as her own frustrations. It totally fit with Claire character. I'm glad it didn't get straightened out. It made for a much better story with Haley thinking she saved her parents rather than having Claire set her straight. The pizza delivery scene, with Claire subtly selling her sudden love of pizza and Haley harsh reaction to the delivery guy, was a nice capper to the story.

Undercovers Season 1 Ep 7 : Assassin

Really good ep. Was hoping that the villain wouldn't be him since that actor has been typecast as the villain plus as an Alias vet.

Yay, Leo!

Hoyt's Edna cover was hilarious. Sam's backstory with her professor is ripe for exploring and pushing her to her limits for revenge.

Anyway, hope that if the coming episodes are as good or better, the scrips get picked up for production.
