Once Upon a Time (2011) -1×20- The Stranger

Well, now we have it, August is totally Pinocchio. I guess that currently leaves Dr. Whale as the only one who hasn't been revealed yet? Hilariously, at the beginning, I was totally trying to see if the CGI Whale looked anything like David Anders.

Glad to get a Geppeto/Pinocchio story. I felt for Geppeto, even though I was annoyed over how stubborn he was and how he kind of screwed a lot of stuff up. But I could see why the idea of losing his son again freaked him out and made him do what he did. It helps that I think the actor is really great in the role. Not a huge fan of Eion Bailey, but I liked the final scene with August and Marco.

Baby Emma was cute as hell and the scene where young Pinocchio left her was heartbreaking. Made up for how annoying Emma was tonight. I feel bad, because I know I would have problems believing fairy tales exist too, but it's just so frustrating how it feels like it's always one step forward, two steps back with her. That said, I have no mixed feeling over her actions in the ending: that was just impulsive and stupid as hell. I don't see how she figures she can get away with just taking Henry like that. I don't see this plan working at all.

Oh, David. At least you weren't big enough of an idiot to actually fall for Regina's "charms", but the fact you even consider her a friend, saddens me. Someone needs to clue him in fast. This wasn't Regina's episode at all, with that rejection and both Mary and Henry owning her. Your power is slipping, Evil Queen!

Mr. Gold didn't have much to do since this time around, but Robert Carlyle continues to make the most of his screen time.

The actor playing young Pinocchio was solid, even though he didn't look anything like Eion Bailey. I think the casting of young Snow White completely ruined any other young/old casting like that. Seriously, it's been almost a month, and I'm still amazed over that one.

The Secret Circle -1×20- Traitor

Another solid episode of TSC? Color me impressed. I was hanging onto every moment and even if the Nick reveal was expected the buildup was pretty badass.

I'm starting to appreciate Dawn a whole lot more. The only side she is on is her own, as stated by Blackwell, and I take that to mean she'll play both teams until the victor is certain and that's when she'll run in and grab the prize. Her weakness for Blackwell is a ruse. She's all for the benefits but I'm not so sure she trusts him.

Faye was at her absolute best. I lost count of the number of times she cracked me up. Added bonus, she and Jake are pretty together. And enjoyable. I could go for this ship. I'm not seeing a romantic link between Melissa and Adam, but those two should share a lot of screentime. Actually, the only thing that didn't impress me was anything Adam/Cassie relevant.

Most of all, I'm enjoying Diana's new role coming to a force of her own. I like that she doesn't trust Blackwell and that's not just thanks to Charles. She's always been the smartest of the bunch. Speaking of Charles, I loved that bar scene. I want his mother back in the picture, she'd balance the forces in play a little bit since too much is skewed in Blackwell's favor at the moment. I do feel though that there's a reveal involving Elizabeth (that was his wife's name, right?) somewhere down the line. Blackwell is shady as they come, but I can't imagine what killing her would achieve.

The Vampire Diaries -3×20- Do Not Go Gentle

Still haven't decided how I feel about Alaric the vampire vampire slayer. I need a new name for him (AtVVS just doesn't look right), since real Alaric DID die. It was the ultimate Dalaric/Team Badass scene-- Dalaric + bourbon + single manly tear. I was squeeing and weeping all at once. Both of those actors did a phenomenal job, btw. It's hard for me not to hate it when men cry, and I totally didn't. Nailed it!

Yay for several mentions of Jenna!

I did like that we got a little more development on Bonnie and her feelings toward both Stefan and Damon. And I liked that Damon just laid it out there that he didn't really have a choice about turning her mom, as well as Stefan's (rather transparent) attempt to manipulate Klaus into not hurting Jamie. I can't really blame her for being mad at both of them (hopefully it's both of them and not just Damon, because that would be unfair). And Bonnie looked particularly beautiful this ep.

I felt sorry for Becky; she just needs to assume that her date for any school dance will be a silver dagger through the heart.

I thought there were some really nice moments between some of the characters, particularly Damon / Alaric in the tomb (Ric teasing him about the dream-sequence with Rose), and Jeremy and Matt at the bar. There's a couple we need to see macking.

I really liked that Elena had a freakout over all of her parental figures dying.

Caroline, I loved her being an unabashed Stelena shipper. She's Stefan's BFF and she takes that job seriously, plus Damon's an ******* and she won't let Elena forget it. Also the "please go die" looks she was giving Klaus and reminding Matt that unless your a Salvatore, Elena's suitors end up dead. Also her ******** about Rebekah's horrible taste. I love her.

Revenge -1×18- Justice

I liked this episode. I thought it was an improvement over last week's.

It was a very good use of the incriminating sweater to deflect attention from both Jack and Daniel and frame Victoria's thug. Although the theft of the sweater did potentially blow Nolan's cover as being more than just a friend to the Porter brothers. Unless Declan is suspicious about the theft then Nolan may well have escaped without his part being discovered. Declan does know that he himself did not leak the news of the incriminating sweater, so perhaps he may start to wonder...

This episode had Emily and Nolan being the kings of covert surveillance. Combined with Nolan's spy camera and Emily's bugging of the Grayson's these two were able to very quickly uncover all sorts of incriminating dirt on Victoria, Conrad and the thug. Cos the bad guys were up to loads of nefarious sh1t this week, it was all too easy for our Revengers to gain dirt on them. It was good to see Emily back to being two steps ahead of the villains this week. It was Jack's return and his possession of the sweater that threw Emily's plan off-kilter. Emily must have had some other plan for subverting or destroying Victoria's thug, she had not acted on the evidence she got on him last week which was 6 weeks ago in TV show time.

I thought it was funny that Nolan has been actively leading Jack on a wild-goose chase all over America for 6 weeks or so! And he has been doing this remotely while stood in Jack's bar! LOL! Him and Emily are both puppet-masters.

So now we know that Victoria was a criminal before she met Conrad, she DID love David Clarke, Conrad had David killed in prison AND had Victoria's thug killed. Now that Emily knows that Conrad had her Father murdered, she is going to kick up her Revenge plotting up a notch! The kid gloves are off!! She has had to waste a couple of months with this Tyler murder stuff but now she can go get her Revenge on.

90210 - Season 4 Episode 21 - Bride and Prejudice

What the hell was Silver wearing to Naomi's engagement party? And why did HeeHaw say "I didn't think you'd be into this kind of thing" to Naomi?? Hasn't Naomi's entire LIFE been about money and being into really extravagant things? Why all of a sudden is she trying to play Mother Theresa? Naomi LIVES for that shit. I'm annoyed because I feel like Nick Zano's two weeks will expire, he will lose his trust fund, but he'll want to prove to Naomi that he loves her so he'll try to win her back, then they'll be together in the end...but he'll be poor. Awesome.

Make-up and lighting do wonders...Naomi's skin looked flawless during the indoor scenes, but the natural light on the boat revealed many blemishes.

I liked the fact that Gillian was totally showing off her small chest. One of the few Hollywood starlets who hasn't succumbed to the implants syndrome, and she is still one of the most beautiful in the cast. Actually, none of those women have big boobs...except for maybe Adrianna? Who, by the way, has gained a ton of weight. Has anyone else noticed this? She actually looks like she EATS...MEALS. Unlike the other women on the show who probably chain smoke for their daily nutrition.

So is Silver going to cheat on Navid with Liam now? Just how Navid cheated on Adrianna with Silver? This is very difficult to keep straight in my head.

Call me crazy but I actually liked Adrianna's twangy country voice...at least it was something fresh.

Why did Silver tell Liam she was saying goodbye? Did she agree to go to Princeton with Navid? Did I miss something? I know he told her they should be together, but is that what that meant?

Glee - Season 3 Episode 17 - Dance with Somebody

How do you, do a tribute episode to a singer that is the admitted idol of one of your characters and one of your very best singers, whose voice is made to sing those songs and not have her do a solo? How anybody sat down in a writers room and said, yes, let's do a tribute episode to Whitney Houston (which was their first bad idea. They should have left her alone. Her bodies barley cold in the ground) and let's not have Amber Riley who was freaking born to sing Whitney Houston and whose character idolizes and worships her, sing a solo.I don't want to hear about how Amber has song alot already. That is not the point. Can anyone imagine Glee doing a Barbara Steisand episode and Lea Michele not singing a solo? No? Me either. and if it did happen, I'm pretty sure the internet would blow up.

You know it wouldn't have been so bad if some of the people they did have sing the songs, could actually sing the songs.

I Wanna Dance With Somebody: I'm sorry. Heather Morris had no business singing that song. If they wanted to do a Brittana duet they should have let Naya do most of the heavy lifting. The performance looked good, but I couldn't get past the sound.

It's Not Right, But It's OK: Well Glee did it. They finally ruined Blaine for me. I usually like Darren's performances and his crazy dances and faces don't usually bother me. But this song was god awful. I actually turned the channel from second hand embarrassment. As for his storyline, there was so much whining going on between him and Kurt I have no idea who was in the right or wrong and they have now made me not care. But again, that song......was awful

I Have Nothing: Chris started out OK and his emotion was good, but once they made him go into his high register, I was done. Just a classic song ruined. And I love Chris's voice. And knowing that Amber would have just nailed it just made it even worse.

What was good:

Obviously How will I Know: Chills. Chills up and down my spine it was so good. The four best singers on the show given a proper showcase. Loved everything about it. Everything. That's what actually made me think this episode was going to exceed my expectations.

Saving All MY Love: I actually liked surprisingly. If they pair Dianna with the right person and pick something suitable for her voice I usually enjoy her singing, And Joe has a little bit of a different voice than some of the other boys.

My Love Is Your Love: Was great. Chris and Darren sounded good on this. And of course Amber killed her part and any time I can she and Kevin together all the better. It all gave me Season 1 feels.

Gossip Girl -5×21- Despicable B

Wow, Lily has gone full-on villain! It's okay with me, though, since she does it so deliciously, and since Carol in my opinion is such a raging bitca. It helps that William and others are pushing back at her.

Poor Chuck! I already feel so yanked around as a viewer, he's handling his musical chairs parentage remarkably well. I am a little disappointed that Elizabeth Hurley isn't his mom, though. Something about her sleazy Britishness made sense as a part of Chuck's DNA.

I feel like the show has been paralleling Rufus/Lily and Dan/Blair, but the Jack/Elizabeth/Bart Bermuda triangle is also similar to Lily/William/Carol, I think. Maybe that's unintentional, though.

How much do I love Detective Archibald who is willing to use his body to get to the truth? He's a regular Encyclopedia Brown, our Nate. A good friend and hilarious seducer of cougars.

Leighton Meester is so talented and charismatic that I love Blair even when she is being cartoonishly ridiculous about status and the NY Mag approval matrix (hilarious, by the way. This show is more realistic than Girls when it comes to New York City obsessions). And again, to me this episode juxtaposed what is wrong with Rufus/Lily and what works about Dan/Blair. It's interesting because the structure of the couples is the same (Upper East Side female, Brooklyn male), yet Rufus and Blair were the ones with the inferiority complexes in this episode. And whereas Villain!Lily (I'll use that since I don't the character has always been quite so deliciously one-dimensionally heartless) simply stepped on Rufus and emphasized their fiscal differences, Dan told Blair that he sees them as equals. The staging of that scene was interesting, on a staircase with Dan looking UP at Blair. I found that very meaningful and encouraging, as I did their last scene, where Blair told Dan she wanted to reassert her individuality. I thought Dan said just the right things to her, and to me it felt like a direct address from the writers to us about getting Blair back to her best self (and reassuring me that Dan was healthy for her).

Once Upon a Time (2011) -1×19- The Return

Interesting episode. Of course, I was happy as soon as I realized it was going to be a Rumpel/Gold episode, but I liked the reveal that Rumpel was the one who invented this curse and it was because he wanted to find his son. Explains a lot of things, like why he did refuse Belle at the end and why he was willing to help Regina unleash the curse, despite being at odds. Robert Carlyle did an amazing acting job. Enjoyed the scenes with Baelfire in fairy tale land, and I was actually surprised when August ended up not being him. I'm guess he'll be Pinocchio like I originally thought.

So, it looks like Emma is ready to go to war with Regina. Not sure that's a good idea yet; Regina still seems to have the upper hand now that Sydney decided to take the fall and I just think it will be hard for Emma to get Henry back. Granted, Storybrooke seems to have it's own set of rules, so who knows what will happen.

Never would have predicted Dr. Hooper and Gold would be... well, golden together, but their scene was cracking me up. More of that, please.

David and Mary continue to bore me which is strange since I love James and Snow.

Lana Parilla was looking lovely as always. And while there is a lot about this show I love, I still could watch her and Robert Carlyle together for an entire episode.

The Secret Circle -1×19- Crystal

OMG, I feel like I stepped into another dimension. TSC had a good, compelling episode and my wish that Diana was the other Blackwell came true! I'm on the lookout for any flying pigs.

Seriously, I even bought Britt Robertson's acting in the final scene, she really looked this nice mix of stunned, freaked out and elated at her newfound sister. Guys, for a moment I didn't wish for Cassie to die in a fire, it's a momentous occasion! Shelley Henning also acted her *** off in that scene, pissy and sad and insecure and freaked. I even like her with Grant, to the point I hope he comes back, learns about the witchcraft and he rolls with it, I think a witch/non-witch relationship would be an interesting thing to see on the show.

I can't wait for the fallout from this babydaddy revelation. Faye is going to **** bricks about Diana having the power she so craves. I can imagine Cassie spazzing out about having a sister, especially if it's Diana (she wasn'r really down with Faye being it). Things with Adam are going to be even more awkward than they already are. Blackwell is hopefully going to be called to give some good explanation (does he even know about having another kid?). Diana is going to have to do some reevaluation of her life and possible future (circle or not, she can't run from her own powers, will she try to access them or repress them?) I hope Jane's line about a father being the one who raises you proves true and Diana doesn't join the Blackwell parade, but instead we get more Diana & Charles scenes, because I loved those few we got before. In fact I can't help but think that maybe Diana's powers won't be unlocked by a threat to herself but to others, maybe Charles himself.

The Elders/parents/kids storylines are finally converging, hallelujah! And we only had to wait for 19 episodes. And of course Jane gets fridged. Not like she ever did much so I don't really care, I just hope we get to see tha fallout of this too, but looking at how she got treated I wouldn't be surprised if Cassie and John just buried her in the backyard.

So much magic in this episode too! I really felt I was watching a show about witches! I loved the marking of Callum, a good way of getting rid of him while at the same time keeping open the possibility of having the sleaze back.

All in all, a really good episode that might mean more good things to come.

The Vampire Diaries -3×19- Heart of Darkness

TYLER'S BAAAAAAAAACK!!!!! [/dance of joy]

Candice Accola just glows in any scene she's in, doesn't she? Luv huh! The look on her face when finally face to face with Tyler was awesome. I'm sure he's not as cured of his sire link to Klaus as he thinks he may be.

I didn't see Esther possessing Rebekah coming so that was a cool twist, although I kind of hope Rebekah isn't gone since she has grown on me a lot. Also interesting potential to have Esther and EvilAlaric working together. Did anyone else think that Stefan reacted like he knew who EvilAlaric was and had encountered him in the past?

I like that Elena finally kissed Damon - she had to be the one to initiate this kiss, I think. I didn't so much like that she almost immediately backed off (after the encounter with Kol), but it is definitely in character. And I like that Damon was pissed about it. Hopefully he is done being a doormat with her, because that is one of the things that has turned me off to this couple on the show. I like Damon snarky and awesome.

I thought using Rose to let Elena see one of Damon's good deeds that he keeps quiet about was nicely done, and Damon's admission that he doesn't want people to expect things of him was a nice character moment and very true to how I see his character. I was not a fan of Rose being a vocal Delena shipper and telling Jeremy all about why he shouldn't interfere. That seemed to be a case of telling rather than showing why this couple has potential.

Revenge -1×17- Doubt

Wow, that was great. This show is fast but the writing and characterization never suffer for it and that's a talent that's rarely seen. Mason's redemption arc was well done and I cheered that "well worth the price of my soul" comment indeed. So Emanda does love those who love her just in an extremely disturbed manner. I'm reminded by Tommy's euology on True Blood "He never learned to love without hurting people" it definitely describes Emanda. I love that this wasn't screamed at the viewer, here she's protecting Dainel, here she's protecting Jack, and here she's protecting Amily and trusts the viewer to see it. Also I loved that Declan and Charlotte are starting to get their hands dirty and Mason's little warning to Charlotte about not having to continue her familiy's legacy. Well Victoria and Declan just ended that possiblity, and I'm interested to see where it goes. Also the ever watchful Nolan realizing that Declan sold out Charlotte to help Jack and trying to give him a pep talk to cheer him up. As for Victoria's new love interest, he was good. The sins of her past are catching up to the one thing she loves the most, Daniel, and she just needs the relief. She's always been willing to sell her soul for him.

Modern Family -3×20- The Last Walt

This was a sweet episode. Phil is an awesome Dad!

Claire smiling giving bad news is probably one of her funniest moments!

"What was that smile? 'Walt's dead' You looked like the Joker!"

I also loved when Gloria was mad at both Hayley and Manny at the end. Someone needs to tell Manny how weird he's acting. I was worried she'd just be mad at Hayley and all proud of Manny or something. Glad I was wrong.

My favorite part was the conversation between Jay and Merle -- that really moved me. Honest, understandable, sweet, and funny.

Ringer -1×22- I’m The Good Twin

Andrew and Juliette leaving together to lick their wounds made me weepy. They both really sold the quiet loss they both felt in their family being turned upside down. Little do they know they have two little girls who need their help to get away from their crazy mama to help them recover and move on. Juliette will be an awesome big sister.

Although if we were to have a second season I wouldn't put it past TPTB to make it so that Andrew isnt' the father of the twins but Arbogast. The way they played it he could've been angry that Siobhan had been stepping out on HIM with Henry the insult to Gemma being an additional sting for him. Also with the loss of Gemma, Arbogast could fill his child void with his daughters with Siobhan, which given his wealth, Siobhan would welcome since she currently has no money and no place to live. I could see her making nice with him to give herself some time to regroup and figure out what to do next- really go after Bridget or just let it go to care for her kids.

If the kids really are Andrew's then basically he's right back in crazy town like he was with Juliett's crazy mother only now he's got two babies to deal with on top of having to deal with Siobhan-who he is still married to. Hoo boy.

Machado for the win coming in guns blazing. I'm happy he finally got his man although this pretty much means Machado has no real reason to come back next season and NC can go on to other projects. Actually, Henry is pretty much done, too, since he's not Shiobhan's babies daddy and he's free and clear to leave having slipped out of the murder rap. Although I'd miss the big dummy.

I did groan that we never got the twins to meet in present time face-to-face. I feel it was the least they could do to have this big stand-off be the final scene. Still, I loved the finale, I loved how they embraced the crazy and I will really miss this show if it doesn't come back. Primetime needs more indulgent soaps and Ringer evolved into quite a fun one. I hope it can somehow escape cancellation.

Glee -3×16- Saturday Night Glee-ver

Ok, I thought this was one of the best written Glee episodes in the longest time and felt like Glee S1. The characters were all in character for better or worse and a large part of the cast was involved but it felt like one show. The fact that this was the person that wrote IKAG, which is in my top 5 worst episodes ever, was a huge shock.

Finchel: Rachel was in character, but Rachel has horrible self-esteem as does Finn and I'm supposed to root for them to use each other as an emotional crutch until it horribly blows up in their face. Rachel was willing to give up Broadway for Finn because Finn feels more like home. I get that, I don't agree with it all, but I get it. Rachel was horribly bullied and that's even counting what Jessie and Shelby did to her. They only thing that got her through that was the dream of Broadway that she was going to be a big success and then all the pain would have been worth it. But now she belongs, she has friends and a loving boyfriend who is crazy about her. Plus he's the most popular boy in school and he picked her and his stepbrother is her best friend. Hell even Quinn's bonding with her was about Finn. She doesn't need Broadway to emotionally validate her anymore, because Finn does it way better. She feels incredibly grateful because in her mind popular handsome high school god Finn rescued poor, plucky loser Rachel and made her so much more. As for Finn, I finally get why he’s crazy about Rachel. In his head, he needs Rachel, because to her, he’ll always be popular high school Finn who sees him as the best guy ever, even when he’s a high school burnout and she’s a big star. He wants for high school to be forever, because this is the only place he’ll be the best, but it’s impossible. With Rachel, some part of that survives, because she’ll always see him like that and he loves that about her. I hate that it glamorizes as true love, because it’s incredibly toxic. One of them is going to disappoint the other, and it isn’t going to be pretty. Props to Cory, because I think he truly gets the desperation about Finn, and I often hate Finn, but he makes Finn seem like such a teenager that you pity him and just want him to feel good about himself.

Brittana: Well this is why I loved the most. My Santana Lopez is back in all her confident, snarky glory and crazy hotness. I get her wanting fame, because that is really just affection and attention writ large and I think to a person whose so emotionally closed off that really appeals to her and why Brittany is her forever girl. I liked that she didn’t let others make her feel bad about want she wanted but realized that she didn’t want it for herself so she kept looking, such as Will who was in his douchy best tonight with her and Mercedes because god forbid you don’t need Will to fix your life and emotionally validate him, seriously those are people not dreams, way to be a dick. Also Naya killed the “I’m dating the bestest girl ever” faces throughout this episode and you saw that Santana knows Brittany’s limitations but she only sees the good. Also it’s about time we see how they are as a couple, however bullshit that they aren’t the PDA kind of couple please Brittany and Santana totally would have started making out after Santana’s performance and finding out about Brittany’s help getting Santana the scholarship. Also yeah Brittany was playing her throughout the entire episode. Yeah the fact that she started out with Fear Factor when she knows that Santana was made for a Real World/Real Housewife kind of reality show and just plopping the bull testicle on the notebook when Santana was in utter shock at what Brittany was saying. Brittany knows that you don’t take Santana words at face value, and that it’s much easier to show than tell with Santana. As for releasing the sex tape without her say so, Santana wasn’t really pissed about it and Brittany knew she wouldn’t be. Lastly to end on a shallow note, Naya looked ridiciously hot in that 70s jumpsuit and we couldn’t have gotten a bikini pic out of “leaked sex tape” c’mon Glee straight guys watch too.

Mercedes: First of all, Amber’s acting has come a long way since S1 and the work she put in shows. She was perfect in her choir room scene in which she said she knew she had the talent but had no idea how to make it happen, and the shocked happiness that everyone loved her video on YouTube. Also great to see Mercedes perspective for once and not Mercedes perspective as it relates to Rachel or ND. Also Disco Inferno hands down the best number of the night. The fact that Blaine gets three songs in an episode, and Mercedes gets one per night is a travesty, and I say this as someone who loves Blaine’s pop hits, that god-awful, painful rendition of Fighter not included.

Other comments, Unique was great, but I liked the character better when he was called Roscoe on House of Lies. Jessie St. James was criminally underused seriously no song and only one scene, however hilarious. Seriously the “I will cut you” eyes he was giving Unique and the faces during the number were comedy gold.

Gossip Girl -5×20- Salon of the Dead

I have to say I'm pleasantly surprised - the writers are going out of their way to show Dair as a functioning, compatible, realistic adult couple. Rufus and Lily could take a few lessons from those two on communication and compromise, lol. And the best part is - their shenanigans and banter are so much fun, they make realism interesting again. I can't express how much I loved that last sleepover scene - absolutely adorable and a great callback to them bickering in bed about film and literature in season 4.

Chuck's story moved me as well. He is definitely a hundred times more interesting when his storylines don't involve Blair, although I wish it wasn't a repeat of 'Who is Chuck's momma?' for the 482939 time. I still don't know if I believe Diana when she says she's Chuck's mom because she's definitely hiding something. I really hope she is though because I don't want Chuck to get suckerpunched again by finding out that yet another person was pretending to be his mother.

All the Rhodes women acted schizo. And that's all I have to say about that.

Overall, a solid ep with a couple of great one-liners - I died when GG said something about "New York's intellectuals are about to be dumbed down" referring to Serena, Lola, Nate and Chuck. And the writers were definitely trolling (wrt to the constant "Reassemble Chuck and Blair" twitter campaigns) when Dan told Rufus "So fix it, like the chair." and Rufus replied, "It's not that simple." So much lulz.

Modern Family -3×19- Election Day

I know this show is going to eventually have Haley go to a college, but I'm hoping that they try to show what happens to the kids that just don't have the brains or the drive to make up for it and therefore college isn't the right thing for them. Plus the list was laughable, Haley seems like a C/D student who tried for the last year and is now a B student. It's not like Haley doesn't have skills, she's a people person and not just because she's good looking. I would love to see her probably show her salesmanship skills and have a path working with her Dad.

Cam and Mitch were hilariously drunk on power with the car megaphone and it was great just seeing them laugh together.

The phone scene was hilarious and really showed their personalities well. Alex was trying to keep everyone focused, Gloria couldn't fall back on her looks, and Manny was able to convince adults because he's one of the only mature and logical people in the group.

Ringer -1×21- It’s Called Improvising, Bitch!

This episode just brought the full-on, no-holds-barred crazy, something it had only hinted at previously. It had my eyes rolling so far back into my head that I must have looked like I was having a religious experience. That is, if there had been anyone around to witness me indulging in the guilty pleasure of watching this show.

Maybe Siobhan signed into the hospital as her alter ego, Cora? But if so, who was paying for it? Tool Belt, I suppose. Lucky that apart from having mostly invisible sons, he also seems to have an endless bank account. However, of all the ridiculous implausibilities, and there were too many to count, what was Oksana the Russian whore/maid doing with a mansion like that? I don't think it was the client's mansion, because how would Shiv have found her? I thought whores didn't make that much -- an earlier episode title taught me that very fact!

As soon as Juliet got home and saw her mother holding her father and Shiv at gunpoint I was praying Juliet would leap in front and take a bullet for dear old dad. I must be a very bad person. But apart from wanting that to happen, I was expecting Juliet to die this episode: it would satisfy the hunger for cliché that this show instills in me, much as eating a Pringle makes me want to eat tubes and tubes of Pringles even though I know they are like intestinal glue. Poor little innocent Juliet! And then Catherine could have had a wonderful breakdown and repentance scene.

The Olivia/Catherine lesbian scenes just made me wince. Catherine was getting it on with Mr Carpenter and was trying to seduce Andrew -- I suppose if you're crazy, on this show, you're up for absolutely anything. Let's make out! No, now I'm going to kill you! All in a day's work for crazy Catherine. Luckily Agent Handsome never confiscated ex-agent Guyliner's handcuffs along with his badge and gun.

Please, show, please come back! I know I shouldn't, but I love you.

Glee -3×15- Big Brother

Wow.....uhhh.....so I really hated that. I mean really. The only good thing was Quinn and Artie and Matt Bomer. (I kind of need Cooper Anderson and Jesse St. James to meet and offer Master Classes in Acting, Reality Show Judging and Shower Choir Competitions.)

The rest......just ugh. Way, way, way, too much Blaine. And it served no purpose. That rendition of Fighter was the worst Blaine performance I have ever seen. I really, really, really did not like it. And that shower scene? That is what everyone was going so crazy over? I just don't see it. The Duran Duran was good, but the performance saved that.

Senior ditch day could have had great potential but ended up being lame-o.

The only really useful thing that came out of this episode was the introduction of LA as a possible destination for some if not all of the kids.

I guess I need to marinate on this, but I really did not like this episode. RIB have demonstrated yet again, that they do not know how to come back from hiatus.

Gossip Girl -5×19- It Girl, Interrupted

I wish Serena didn’t give DB the green light in 516 if she was only going to act like this, I may have some sympathy for her then. Couldn’t believe what she was doing last night, some was in character but the manipulation and in your face lying wasn’t.

The whole Chuck mom thing is such a handbrake on the show, going back over old ground and sucking the life out of the whole show.

Elizabeth Hurley, being told she is beautiful and she is hot doesn’t make it so, I’d settle for some decent acting from her at this stage.

Yay for Blair calling Chuck out twice, it was great to see. Some things are not to be forgotten. It was either ironic or a coincidence that the day he paid the dowry, he comes crawling for help. Blair was so right to accuse him of always having an agenda. Didn’t need Dan and Blair telling us how selfless Chuck was, he was only righting his wrong, it was the least he could do, he doesn’t get a medal for that.

Blair at the beginning so excited to be able to finally do things with Dan as a couple and Dan planning out the perfect day and just wanting to spend time with her, perfect. The MET scene was way too short but priceless, I was expecting cheese but it wasn’t too bad. The looks and steadfast eye contact was better than a thousand words. Delighted they haven’t lost their biting banter in the transition.

Ringer -1×20- If You’re Just An Evil Bitch Then Get Over It

Fun episode, Catherine is certainly batshit crazy and it's kind of fun to watch.

That being said, I'm going to assume that once again she's going to fail to kill the woman who destroyed her marriage though.

Bridget and Victor working together seems so odd but he's being progressively less annoying so I guess it works.

Can we please find out where Olivia and Malcolm are now?

Even when she's trying to help, Siobhan manages to screw up, doesn't she?

Henry vs. Tim is amusing enough.

Liked pretty much all of Andrew and Juliet's scene.

Gossip Girl -5×18- Con-Heir

This episode what can I say, I liked all of it.

Even Daddy Vandercreepson taking his time to take in the sight of Blair in garters. Such a nice acting touch from Billy Baldwin, even though as it turned out, William is mending fences with his children (including Lola it would seem), he’s still a sleeze.

Being back in the loft is doing wonders for Rufus (if not for his son’s sex life lol), he’s using his brain again. Lilly was quite ready to trust William, but Rufus was (sort of rightly as it turned out) hesitant to buy into the Vandercreepson cool aid. That said for some reason we also had the return of the crepy laugh from Rufus this week (when lighting the stove), what is that seriously ? settle we know you can do better!

Nate is getting a SL and to me it looks vaguely interesting, hoozah! I think his arc looks like it going to be about balancing business needing to turn to his ex cougar Diana and his love life with Lola. Loved the new strict Nate firing Serena. Yes it was a classically well intended Serena cock-up, but nevertheless it did have disastrous results for the Spectator and DID go against her editors express wishes.

Chuck and uncle Jack were adorable. I knew Jack was lying, but I think his coming from a good place for once. I think his ‘we’re all the family we need’ might have been a gentle way of letting Chuck know he wouldn’t necessarily like what he’d find, which considering the Bass family sounds like sound advice to me. Interesting that didn’t show who he was calling this time, last time they clearly showed Diana. So is he calling someone else this time? Ed Westwick seemed to be relishing the chance to show his one liner skills again. Good for him. Also of course Jack Bass would get hepatitis from Pamela Anderson.

Side note: if Bart Bass were to turn up alive (unlikely I agree I still call flash back on that one) would that make Lilly a polyandrist?

Serena/Lola/Lilly/Ivy
It’s weird but I still feel kinda sorry for Ivy. Yes she’s been shady, but I do feel she cared for Cece and Lilly is being overboard and conveniently dismissing that Cece knew exactly who Ivy was.

And then there was Dan and Blair. I love the lighter, comedic angle on these two. The highlight of the episode was the contrasting conversations with Nate and Dorota. I loved how LM kept pouring herself vodka.

Desperate Housewives -8×19- With So Little to Be Sure Of

The cop's over-the-top hatred of Bree has to be his downfall. Does he have a vendetta against all of Chuck's exes, like his wife, or just Bree? It's all such nonsense.

I absolutely love Scott Bakula in this role. He could have made it so much hammier, which I would have hated and which is how the character seemed to be written, but he rocked.

Susan's storyline was so freaking stupid. Yeah, just bring this bullshit out of nowhere. For some reason, it reminded me of the short story Jon Stewart had in his "Naked Pictures of Famous People" about the weekend he hung out with JFK, and how his mom kept gestating pregnancies over the course of a few hours and there was an infinite number of secret Kennedys locked in the basement, some of which had genetic abnormalities and MRDD, and others were just mutants. And watch it never, ever be mentioned again. Watch out, Julie. Porter or Parker or Preston or Piccadilly Scavo will probably mistake your baby for a ham and put it in the oven at some point. He really is that stupid. But hey, you slept with the kid you babysat, which makes you just as stupid. To think I once liked you and felt you had the sense your mother lacked.

I hate Jane, but recognize she isn't even a character at this point and is simply a plot device. Lynette's reaction with the green velvet batter was awesome, though. We cheered her on. Then, though we felt kinda bad for it, we made fun of her for crying in the car. Seriously though, was this Jane's idea of a birthday gift for Tom? What a bitch. He's known you for six months. He's been married to Lynette for 25 years. Get over yourself.

Hate Carlos immensely now. Never cared for him much either way, though he was the least least favorite of the househusbands, but now I am in full on hate mode. Selfish asshole, especially playing the emasculation card. Gabby helped support your ass before- remember the whole blindness thing? Yeah, she was flirting with her clients, but that's what you do! Waitresses flirt, saleswomen flirt, personal shoppers flirt, it's what they do. Would you really be happier living in a cardboard box on Wisteria Lane, rather than the house you're in? Go die in a fire, asshole.

90210 -4×20- Blue Ivy

Hmm decent episode my expectations weren't too high but I didn't mind it.

Annie and the priest? Naomi and whatshisface? I'm indifferent to both. I don't mind the Caleb but he and Nick Zano may as well be the same character for all I care. I don't see either man staying long in the show. I do however love Annie and Naomi's scenes together and with Ivy... and I hate Annie but for some reason her just being in the background this season has really worked for the character. It's when she gets all obnoxious, self righteous or MY MONEY that the character goes to shit.

Dixon and Adrianna? I don't blame him for leaving and I think Adrianna will eventually understand but they way it was done (probably due to Tristan being ill) just seemed like a poor version of One Tree Hill.

OK so is it me or did Navid just come back hotter?! Also, I'm totally rooting for him and Silver to end up together in the long run and I don't think they've ever intrigued me in the slightest.

I'm not really opposed or into the Silver/Liam hookup. I think they have a nice chemistry but I don't think we're supposed to view it as a deep connection. The hook up was purely based on how low the both of them felt and given how needy the both of them are for opposite sex company, it seemed exactly like how they distract themselves from feeling shitty. I feel bad for Navid in all of this given that Liam is supposed to be his friend and he and Silver blatantly still love each other.

The speeches for Raj were sweet but given that we had rarely seen him interact with the gang, I found it hard to care. Ivy was brilliant in all her scenes though. Gillian Zinser is so underrated.

Once.Upon.a.Time.S01E18. The Stable Boy

Yeah that went about how I expected to to go. I was kind of hoping Regina's lost love was a baby and not her true love made of boring pretty boy, just to shake up the story a little. The little girl was almost creepy in her copy of Snow's mannerisms. I loved seeing the evolution of Regina from essentially good to her Snow hating self except that it was so freaking petty. Her mother killed Daniel and Snow was a little girl who was painstakingly manipulated into talking. Put the blame on the right person Regina!

Gold = Magnificent Bastard. What would this show be without him? Now I am curious about one thing. At the beginning flash back "one week ago" was I not listening close enough to Gold's request for a deal? Because it sounded suspiciously like he never actually promised a result! I'll have to re watch I'm sure but it sounded an awful lot like a long plan to get Mary blamed for murder with no conclusion to the plan. Stuff which has already happened and he never promised to get Mary killed or sent from Storybrooke. So he didn't renege on the deal at all when he let Katherine go. Er...assuming that was the bit of magic he was talking about.

Thank goodness they addressed Emma's failing "super power" because she failed big time with Sydney. Glad that finally got resolved but I hope she's clever enough not to approach him about it and instead keep him on board. Better the evil Regina plan you know about than a new one, right? I'm not holding my breath for her to be smart, though.

"Henry, I left my code book at home." I kind of love Henry in small doses. Speaking of, is he ever going to notice that Gold walks around calling his mother "your majesty"? I'll be amused if that's how he figures out Rumpel's identity.

Regina's mother is the Miller's Daughter who made lots of "deals" to get where she is. Nice reference to the original story there, writers. I could use an episode now! I wonder where she got all that magic though. Kind of a given that Regina got it by killing Cora later on (like Rumpel said in Heart of Darkness, killing the evil being will make you as evil as she is).

As long as August and Emma remain platonic I'm cool with him. Mary Margaret obviously doesn't watch enough television. The first rule of being put on trial for murder? Listen to your FREAKING LAWYER! She's rapidly joining Hansel and Emma in the land of too stupid to live.

The Secret Circle -1×18- Sacrifice

The show certainly does seem to be getting better! The addition of Blackwell has made things much more interesting, possibly because he's bridging the gap between the generations. He's actively involving himself, for better or worse, with the current Circle, whereas Jane, Dawn, Charles, etc., either cleaned up the kids' messes or plotted against them. Heck, I even like Cassie and Jake around him. Jake seems to have been easily influenced in the past by surrogate father figures, so his following John is consistent with the little we know about him, while Cassie wants a father, but isn't quite all in as far as trusting him goes (loved the miniature golf conversation!). Faye and Melissa were awesome as usual, but who knew Adam could be fun? More of this, please!

I wasn't all that interested in Diana's storyline, though I'm glad that the kid didn't turn out to be a witchhunter; well, yet, anyway. You'd think the kids would stay off of boats.
