The Game Season 4 Ep 12. The Right To Choose

What I liked about the finale:

-Tasha keeping her cool with Mario Van Peebles after she discovers he's not dying, he's just a loser
-Derwin seeing right through Melanie's obvious lie

What I could've done without:

- Melanie supplying sunflower seeds & "Grape Drink" for her meeting with Tasha
- Malik's girlfriend being driven to drink because of a fake photo shoot?
- New QB...he's kind of a dick but good to see Stacey Dash as always. 


I hate that Kelly is a reoccurring character, her interactions with Tasha and Melanie were my favorite part of the series. I hope they realize they need her and bring her back next season....... With a new hair style lol.


I wonder who will be the father of Melanie's abortion. We know it's not going to be Derwin ( or is it ) so that leaves Trey Wiggs, Dr McHottie, or Jerome. If's it McHottie maybe we will find out who told Derwin about him.

Parks and Recreation Season 3 Ep 8 : Camping

Okay, that may be my favorite opening to a P&R episode ever!

I'm glad they found a way to get Chris back. Poor, poor Ann, though keeps misreading him!

Loved Andy getting lost in the woods and finding his way to to April.

The Ben and Tom dynamic remains fun to watch for me.

Ron Swanson continues to show he's an awesome boss to Leslie.

Community Season 2 Ep 19: Critical Film Studies

As soon as I saw Abed in the sweater, I immediately thought "My Dinner with Andre". I love how they still intertwined it with the usual silliness though.
Favorite moments:
Shirley as Samuel L. Jackson
Pierce yelling "gay" at Abed and Jeff while wearing his gimp outfit
Chang: "why do you leave me alone with him?"
Jeff: "does that sweater come with a golden retriever?"


Abed talking about Cougar Town is so meta... a character in a show talking about another show pretending to be a character in that show. The whole thing is just brilliant. And his monologue? Mesmerizing.

Modern Family Season 2 Ep 18 : Boys Night Out

Loved everything about it, from "Can I have the movie rights to that story" (crabcakes) to "What do you have?" "Dylan's shoes".

One of the things this show does so well is subvert cliche and expectation. The expectation was that Hayley would totally screw up with Lily, but she didn't. Jay's arrival at Cam and Mitch's boys' night out could have been a disaster, but it wasn't. And both plot lines were better - and funnier - with what did happen.

And Yes, Luke, many people find you adorable and I am one of them.

Yay show!

The Game Season 4 Ep 11: Death Becomes Her

The Game is entering the home stretch this season with this being the next to last episode. It's certainly been a much drama filled and buzzed about season for sure.

Tasha Mack found her a nice romantic sensible guy, someone who could possibly give Rick a run for his money and wouldn't you know he's terminally ill. Tasha and Bo acted out a bucket list of some sorts and in the end he left her with a note. Will we find out what it said in the finale ?

Melanie and Derwin actually acted like a real fun happy married couple for once which was great to see. With Tia's real life pregnancy i wonder if the show will right it in and give Melanie and Derwin a baby. Can you just imagine how crazy Melanie would be pregnant ?

Malik just can't seem to catch a break. He's finally seemed to have gotten it together , but who all didn't see his affair with his bosses wife coming back to bite him in the ass and now possibly ruin his football career. It was nice to see Derwin be a supportive friend but it doesn't seem like all of that is going to matter or will it ?

Parks and Recreation Season 3 Ep 7 : Harvest Festival

That was fan-freaking-tastic. (Well, maybe not as fan-freaking-tastic as "Sweetums" or "The Flu," but pretty damn close.) Loved Joan Callamezzo. Loved the Indian chief and his fake ceremonies. Loved Donna breaking Ann out of her funk. And most of all, I loved the harvest festival itself. It looked like a blast. I wish it weren't fictional; I'd surely go!

Community Season 2 Ep 18 : Custody Law and Eastern European Diplomacy

Thank goodness for another season of Community because this show cannot be denied. And as predicted a while ago, there's a hell of a lot of humor surrounding the Shirley/Andre/Chang circle.

Also? I. love. Chang. It can't be said enough. That crazy, little, spinning, saw-having man deserves a lollipop. As does Joel McHale's physique.

Britta's singing of the fake girl-star song was almost as funny as Troy's look of disgust when she was singing it. And Shirley's hold on Jeff is amazing. I'm probably the only Shirley/Jeff shipper in the world, but there it is.

And Malcolm Jamal Warner is amazing. "I've been a father for 11 years, and a good one for 9 of those!"

The Game Season 4 Ep 10: Never Surrender

Well folks The Game is rearing the end of it's season with only two episodes left. Wonder how it will end.

Malik finally seemed to have found happiness tonight which lasted for about two seconds due to his involvement with Parker. It was good to see why Parker was the way she was due to her horrible marriage, but I think it came a little to late, plus any redeeming qualities Parker had quickly went away when she told her husband about Malik and her sleeping together. How this all wiill play out for Malik surely can't be good but at least he got a couple of moments of happiness.

TT was back in full force funny mode tonight and I couldn't have been more happier. I appreciate the show for giving TT and the actor Barry Floyd more to do but when TT is throwing darts especially at Tasha that's when the character shines.

Tasha and her lies almost got her but Dante came through in the end and saved her. The Game can play around all they want but the only man that I will accept for her is Rick Fox, those two were perfect for each other so show do whatever you got to do to make it happen.

Glee Season 2 Ep 16 : Original Song

Loved that. Loved every second of it. Kurt and Blaine felt like it took for ever to happen, but it was so worth it. Gay love!

And the original songs were fantastic, especially Santana's with her gospely "woo!" at the end.

And Brittany's favorite song is "My Headband."

Oh Glee, when you're good, you're fantastic.

Young Justice Season 1 Ep 9 : Bereft

Highlights of the episode were Miss Martian stepping up, Robin finally kicking some ass, and seeing the future Nightwing.


Nice to see Tooniverse Psimon, and they moved along characterization with everyone except Aqualad (which made sense since he got his spotlight last episode). 

The Game Season 4 Ep 9 : Whip It Whip It Real Good

Well Kudos and Bravo to Jason Pitts for finally stepping up and taking some responsibility in raising your increasingly wild daughter. Jason finally realized that only he could do what he's been avoiding all this time and that was to be a father and instill some discipline for his daughter. I do love that this storyline is relevant to what's going on socially with teens today, and Coby Bell proves that with bringing the funny to Jason he can also be tough.

The night truly belonged to Tasha Mack. The show is at it's best when they let Tasha be the outrageous character that everyone has come to love. To her jabs at Melanie, Jason, and Brit Brat, to her smoking for medicinal purposes, Tasha was truly the best part of the episode. You can tell that Wendy loves playing this character and she truly gives it her all.

The Melanie/Derwin storyline produced a surprise and a heartfelt scene with Melanie and her mother, and it was nice to hear why she's not practicing medicine. I hope that at some point we do see Med School back in the medical field.

Malik had a good line calling Brit Brat Bobbi Christina and seeing him getting a whipping was a perfect way to end this episode.

Glee Season 2 Ep 15 : Sexy

I fully expected the show to just hint at something more between Brittana and to sort of skirt around the issue but instead, Glee actually handled female/female feelings with a serious tone and attacked it head on and in the process gave Santana the raw, emotional material that her fans like myself have been asking for since forever - forget the one liner bitchy fluff for Santana, tonight she got actual dramatic material and character development and Naya OWNED it all. She is absolutely fantastic at everything she does and she proved in Sexy that not only can she do sassy, not only does she have amazing comedic timing but she can also be understated and sensitive and sell it 100%.


I want more - more Brittana and more development like this for Santana - although I don't want her to go completely soft, keep her bitchy but give us quiet moments where she shows an honest, emotional side to Brittany like we had tonight. It's a great balance and creates a better character.


Brittana was just so beautiful and if Glee is smart, they will make this an ongoing storyline, not just a one episode thing that gets picked back up sometime down the line. ...and Bartie? Please tell me the expiration date is in sight.

I also love that we all know that Naya/HeMo are BFFs in real life b/c it took their more serious scenes to another level. 


Kudos are also in order for Burt Hummel ---- OMG, his "talk" with Kurt was full of love and respect, despite Burt's, um, discomfort, with the mechanics of gay sex. The pamphlets? And the fact that Burt went to the free clinic to get them? Made of WIN. Kurt needs to thank God every night for having such an AWESOME dad. 


The rest was meh. 

Desperate Housewives Season 7 Ep 16 : Searching

I got a kick out of Bree's minister determining the severity of her problem based on the quality of her snacks. "Have you killed someone?"

Shockingly, the 4 main stars shared a scene! And Susan and Mike shared several scenes! It's almost like they're married or something. Their dramatic scenes fell completely flat for me. I think Tom and Lynette handled the "wife on death's door" angst a lot better.

Of course Renee's empty womb must be filled. We knew this story was coming. I'm glad it ended just as quickly. Lynette should probably be arrested for child endangerment, leaving Paige with Renee was reckless.

Gaby forces Jaunita into a competition with a neighbor's child, and learns an Important Lesson about parenting. It wasn't good when it was MJ and the candy sales.

The odds of two donors on the same block are pretty astronomical, but we can let that go for dramatic reasons. I'm pretty sure BobLee are automatically disqualified from donating; the Red Cross won't take gay men's blood, I think kidneys are in the same boat.

I'm sorry Beth is gone though, I kinda liked her.

Overall a "meh" episode.

Young Justice Season 1 Ep 8 : Downtime

Best episode so far! And why not? Dealing with the one character created solely for the Tooniverse gave them more freedom than they've had prior to this. 


The YJ versions of the AquaClan are different enough to allow for Aqualad's story, yet similar enoough to make a comics fan smile. I have a feeling there's more to Orm, just like in the comics, and the Tooniverse does Garth no favors, but if the alternative was having him not exist at all this was better. Interesting interlude with Artemis and maybe some clues as to who she is. 


Superboy and Megan interlude was silly, but true to their characters thus far (though I don't see the JLA not frowning on the co-ed living arrangement). Nice look into Dick and Bruce (and Alfred!), as well as the Flash Family! 

Modern Family Season 2 Ep 17 : Two Monkeys And A Panda

The banter between Manny and Jay was funny.


So glad that the Mitch/Cam storyline was a bit more than bickering. After the scene where Mitch reveals he thought Cam would leave, I went "oh man, this just got REAL." I felt like this storyline was interesting...good, but not really as funny as others. Just had a different tone, I guess.

I loved Phil in the spa. Just loved it. 

The Game Season 4 Ep 8 : A Very Special Episode

Well Tonight's Ep definitely made good use of it's late timeslot now didn't it.

Tonight's Lesson in the Case of Melanie Barnett is three is most certainly not a magic number. Melanie under the ill advice of regular freak Jazz tried to spice up her marriage by adding a third to it, Melanie found a third but thankfully had the good sense to back out, but I'm for certain that she's opened up a dangerous game of curiosity for herself and for Derwin. Have we've seen the last of the mysterious third person I don't think so.

Poor Malik, dude just can't seem to catch a break. He's found happiness and love ( as he so gleefully claimed on The Monique Show ) but that was quickly taken away from him by Parker. Parker made it clear that she's not through with Malik and will go through extremes measures to make sure he doesn't go anywhere. Malik has got to come clean and let someone know that he has a crazy broad on his hand before it gets worse.

No Jason, Kelly and minimal use of Tasha but a very good episode overall.
