New masks in "SCREAM 4"?

Thanks to the Twitterverse, there’s a whole new level of communication between artists and filmmakers and their fans, which has also led to ton of fun in the way of speculation and hints on upcoming projects. Recently, Wes Craven excited SCREAM lovers with a picture of his cat lounging around two new variations on the now iconic Ghostface mask/costume.

The pictures Craven posted showcased Scarecrow and Zombified versions of the masked killer, and Kevin Williamson then hinted there could be more than one mask which brought on much speculation.

There has also been some very interesting tweets from FunWorld’s (the company responsible for Ghostface) R.J. Torbert. His dispatches stated:

“I expect there to be two different masks, however I will say this, things changing very often – difficult to say without giving it away.”

“Sent out additional GHOSTFACE to the SET today, a very interesting opening scene.”

“Let’s just say, the town of Woodsboro has an obsession. There is your hint.”

Strap on those thinking caps and start talking below. Will we see a scene similar to when the streets of Haddonfield were riddled with Michael Myers masks?

Luther- Television At it's Finest

I want to focus your attention on a brilliant mini-series by the BBC, which is currently airing in the UK. It’s name is Luther and if you are a fan of The Wire you are going to love this show, because it brings back Idris Elba to the limelight, as pitch-perfect as he ever was.

Now the BBC is known for having produced a lot of high-quality mini-series, TV movies and shows already, so it should come as no surprise they have landed yet another solid hit with Luther.

Every 50-minute episode  is like a mini-thriller movie every week and it is such a pleasurable brain twist every single time. Luther centers around Idris Elba’s London Police Detective John Luther, who is brilliant at picking the brains of serial killers and psychopaths, but also has a violent temper of his own.
His marriage to his wife Zoe is on the rocks because of his demanding job and the toll it takes on the ever thoughtful and cynic John Luther. He loves his wife to an unhealthy degree and although she tries to pull away from him and be with another man, she can never quite resist the pull Luther has on her.

I won't give anything else away , but trust me this show is simply phenomenal. What’s great about Luther are the committed actors, all of which are stellar, especially Idris Elba in all his controlled and uncontrolled anger. And all the unexpected turns the story takes, which creep up on you or simply just yank you around by the shoulders to stare gruesomeness in the face, because some of the methods those killers have on the show are more terrifying than any Saw movie ever was.

The season only has six episodes and i hope that it comes back for another season. You can watch all episodes on the link provided below enjoy.

Casting News : Katie Cassidy Joins Gossip Girl

Just when i was ready to get out they pull me back in.

Katie Cassidy will be joining the cast of Gossip Girl next season for multiple episodes, and will premiere in the first episode of season 4

She’ll play a student at Columbia and a love interest for fellow undergrad Nate (Chace Crawford).

She'll also be causing trouble for a few other Upper East Siders and will appear to be not what she seems.

While i was hoping The Vampire Diaries would scoop her, this news makes me happy. She was just about the best thing on the CWs Melrose Place reboot and it looks like they want to keep her in the family.

Coming Soon : Social Network

The teaser trailer for David Fincher’s The Social Network has just landed online.  Also known as “The Facebook Movie” and based off Ben Mezrich’s book The Accidental Billionaires: The Founding of Facebook – A Tale of Sex, Money, Genius, and Betryal, the film is about…the founding of Facebook…and the sex, money, genius, and betrayal that went with it.

The movie centers on Facebook’s creator Mark Zuckerberg (played by Zombieland’s Jessie Eisenberd) and the drama surrounding the creation of the social network site that is now one of the most dominant sites on the Internet.

The Social Network hits theaters on October 1st.

GREEN HORNET Trailer

Sony has finally released a real trailer for Michel Gondry’s Green Hornet and I think it looks great.  While I wasn’t sure what to expect from a film that has Seth Rogen as the lead in an action movie, I’m a lot more on board with the film after watching the trailer as Green Hornet isn’t trying to sell Rogen as some hard core fighter.  Instead, Rogen plays a spoiled rich kid who after the mysterious death of his father, decides to get his act together by fighting crime in the city.  I can buy that premise.

The first single off the new album Hands On Me which hits stores September 21st.

  01 Misery by imjustsaying

I really like this.  It's not as immediate as some of their past singles, but I still think it's really strong. The chorus is already stuck in my head and it's just really fun. Seems perfect for the summer and I expect radio will be happy to embrace this.

Of Course There's Gonna Be A 'Karate Kid' Sequel

After The Karate Kid's box office success of 56 million blew past its 40 million budget , a sequel to the Jackie Chan Jaden Smith film seemed like a no brainer.  Sure enough, Sony Colombia Pictures execs are meeting with writers to see where to take the second installment. Looks like Will may have some competition for the King Of Summer crown.

I think they should travel to a different asain country or just another part of China. The main story in KK2 was the tournament he had to go through. Not like the tournament in the first one. He had to defend his title over and over. The 2nd one was very legendary. Might have been the best out of the original series. New movie has got a good movie to learn from.

Les Grossman Movie Coming

Paramount announced today it is developing a movie that would center on Les Grossman, Tom Cruise’s foul-mouthed movie producer character from "Tropic Thunder."
The movie is being produced by Cruise and Ben Stiller, from a screenplay by Michael Bacall (“Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World’).
Stiller issued this statement:

“Les Grossman’s life story is an inspiring tale of the human class struggle to achieve greatness against all odds. He has assured me he plans to quote ‘F**king kill the sh*t out of this movie and make Citizen f**king Kane look like a piece of crap home movie by the time we are done.’ I am honored to be working with him.” Added Adam Goodman, Paramount Film Group President, “Everything I learned in this business, I’ve learned from Les. I started out as his assistant, and from the first day he threw his desk at me when I got his lunch order wrong, I have loved him like a father."

I think pretty much the way to go with this film is to make it a mockumentary , I think the character is funny but in a full movie how long would that last .

New Vid : Redman Looking Fly

My namesake is back with a new video.

Who knows what this album will eventually be called. I’ve seen Reggie Noble “0″ 9 ½Reggie’s Oodles of O’s and now it’s simply being touted as Reggie. Quite frankly, Redman could call this joint Mud Ducks & Grape Jelly and it wouldn’t change the fact The Funk Doctor is putting it down regardless of mainstream attention, concrete release dates or whatever the little tykes call music.

Casting News: Jeremy Renner Is Hawkeye In The Avengers

With his Oscar nominated performance in The Hurt Locker behind him, Jeremy Renner has officially joined the cast of the big screen adaptation of Marvel comics " The Avengers," after months of speculation.

Renner will play the bow-and-arrow hero Hawkeye, who eventually became an essential member of the team after becoming a hero from a villian.

For those keeping score, Renner is joining Robert Downey Jr as Iron Man/Tony Stark, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Chris Evans as Captain America, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow,  Samuel L Jackson as Nick Fury, and Don Cheadle as War Machine with the movie being directed by Joss Whedon ( Buffy the Vampire Slayer).

I think its a pretty great casting choice, Renner was great in The Hurt Locker and he's already joining an established cast of talent. My fear is that with to many characters the proper story won't be told, lets hope thats not the case.

Thundercats Coming To The Cartoon Network

One of the most iconic and definitive cartoons of the 80s, Thundercats will be introduced to a brand new generation next year .

Warner Bros Animation  issued a press release which you can read below.

First Look : Captain America

Personally, I think the suit looks pretty great. Evokes the right retro vibe while looking modern enough to not be cheesy. I dig it.

New Music : Cee-Lo Green – “Georgia”

Here we have the first single from Cee-Lo Greene from his new and upcoming album The Lady Killer.

Cee-Lo Green And His Perfect Imperfections is my favorite album of all time. So this song is much overdo and welcome. I’ll be tuning my vocal chords to hit that “Georgia” note on the hook.
