True Blood -4×1- She’s Not There

I was really worried that this whole episode would be as silly as the Fairyland sneak preview but there were a lot of threads to follow. Anything involving Nan makes me happy so the vamp politics thing could be interesting. I wonder how Bill ascended to the throne. I wonder what happened to Sophie Anne. My guess is she's not dead-dead but in vampire prison somewhere.

Tara's beating the crap of people for fun and profit. Okay, it's an improvement over victimTara. The lesbianism? Really? Well, it's better than the shitload of crazy her life's been, so whatever.

Sam and a bunch of shifters drinking and playing horsie... meh. Sam and Tommy's passive-aggressive snark... Hee.

I still love Terry and still don't care at all about Arlene or the HellSpawn.

Jessica is getting cold feet with Hoyt. Aw. Sads. I guess it's not really surprising. Human or vampire, she's never had any time to sow wild oats.

I like CopJason and Jason and Andy together are always made of win. I hate Jason-the-werepanther-babysitter. Good grief, he's still so dumb. He couldn't see that dumbass plot coming? He was outsmarted by people who seem to be barely scraping two brain cells together.

I'm not sure about the witch storyline yet, but Fiona Shaw is always so good. I'm going to enjoy her being incredibly creepy if nothing else.

So Eric bought Sookie's house. Of course he did. I think he's got to learn a lesson about modern property laws, like the girl doesn't come with the house.

Oh yeah, and I think the Fairy storyline is the weak link. I really hope we get to see Barry the Bellboy, again someday before he ages 40 years or before Sookie does.

So, the first episode was better than I expected.

The Nine Lives Of Chloe King Season 1x 2 : Redemption

I must be getting to  old for this shit! I mean, Chole spent the whole episode trying to make up for Xavier's death, which seems to have affected her a lot, but then she continues to go out with Brian, and let his lips get pretty close to hers at the cafe before she suddenly remembers that, hey, the last guy I kissed, he's in a coffin. They really must be pushing the "love at first site", "love that can endure anything" (even no sex) bullshit that seems to only hold water with naive teens. I can only guess that they are trying to hold on to the relationship so when Chloe figures out that she didn't actually kill Xavier (or whatever plot device they're going to use to make her and Brian able to get together), they'll still be dating/in each others' sphere of reference, so they can live happily ever after. What I feared has come true - what could be a cool show about a girl discovering her powers and how to deal with them has been overshadowed by the stupidity of the forbidden romance (with a guy who is too old for her and really isn't all that appealing).

Rant aside, I thought this episode was ok in other areas. Chloe and Alek were the only compelling characters for me. I don't find Amy and Paul to be annoying - they're kind of funny for me and a good support for her, but not the only support she needs, like Amy suggesting she and Brian could just be friends. Same with the mom - she obviously doesn't know the whole picture, and her advice would have been good but for the fact it was all wrong. I just don't get why Chloe is so weak.

I would like to see a little more mentoring from Alek instead of him just following her around and threatening her friends - although I thought those scenes made Alek more interesting. I did feel like there was some tension between him and Amy, but at least he knows better! Alek should be helping her realize the extent of her powers (by talking to her, not just rooftop escapades), helping her through the emotional upheaval, and should have been a little harsher when suggesting to Chloe that Brian might get hurt - in fact he might get dead! Just a little instruction in a good thing. And where is all the snark/flirting he had towards Chloe in the first episode? Did he abandon all that because she's the uniter?

Young Justice Season 1 Ep 10 : Targets

I am really beginning to like Red Arrow. The first couple of episodes made him seem like a bit of a brat, but it's clear now that he's just a young man who feels it's time to branch out and do his own thing. Love how Lex Luthor's always working an angle (because of course he is!). And the sexy little interplay between Cheshire and Red Arrow was nice, too. Hopefully another episode will leak online soon!

Oh and my guess on the mole, which was hinted back in Infiltrator, is Superboy unconsciously. It can't be Robin, Aqualad or Kid Flash so that only leaves the newcomers: Superboy, Miss Martian, and Artemis. Artemis is way too obvious, and Miss Martian hasn't been on the planet long enough so that only leaves Superboy how was created by the Light in the first place and has been brainwashed before.

Loved all the cameos too, Wendy & Marvin, Herald, Bumble Bee, and Mercy.

The Nine Lives Of Chloe King : Pilot

I enjoyed this more then I thought I would. I watched based on the few previews I saw and that it was after Pretty Little Liars.

I like Chloe and her friends. Nice they helped her in the fight and that she was honest with them. I see why they are being compared to Buffy.

It may be early to say this but I already prefer Alex to Brian. Though that may change as the series goes on. The stuff with Alex felt more natural and fun(the stuff in the school). Brian it already seems like it will be a tortured romance. Will see where it goes.

I said of course when we learned Brian's dad wanted Chloe dead and was the leader of the corporation.

Hope to learn more about what Chloe and her race is. It was a good start.

Green Lantern: Emerald Knights

Plot : As the home planet of the Green Lantern Corps faces a battle with an ancient enemy, Hal Jordan (Nathan Fillion) prepares new recruit Arisia Rrab (Elizabeth Moss) for the coming conflict by relating stories of the first Green Lantern and several of Hal's comrades.  And that's basically the gist of it.  We get a look at the very first Green Lanterns, we get a look at Kilowog (Henry Rollins) and how be became such a bad-ass, we learn how Bolphunga (Roddy Piper) met the Green Lantern known as Mogo (Steve Blum), we get a look at Laira's (Kelly Hu) family complications, and we get a bit of back story on Abin Sur (Arnold Vooslo), which sees him teaming up with Sinestro (Jason Issacs) and debating the concept of destiny versus free will.  And finally we get the conclusion of the present-day threat, as the Green Lanterns combine their might to save the entire galaxy from a seemingly unstoppable foe.

90210 Loses A Regular

Come Fall the kids of 90210 will be entering college with one less West Bev. Trevor Donovan ( Teddy Montgomery) will not be returning as a series regular in the fall, and is only slated to appear in five episodes of the show's fourth season.

Trevor joined the show in it's second season as a ladies man, and then received a major third season storyline when it was revealed that Teddy was gay. Teddy was one of the more interesting characters on the canvas, and his coming out storyline was handled with a great deal of respect and care.

In a recent statement regarding the departure Trevor said that the storyline was a blessing, and he's looking forward to what opportunities and adventures lie ahead.

Reel Review: X-Men First Class

PLOT: It's 1962, and CIA agent Moira MacTaggert (Rose Byrne) is on the trail of The Hellfire Club, a sinister organization run by Sebastian Shaw (Kevin Bacon) that's keen on igniting a nuclear war between the US and the Soviet Union. When she discovers that Shaw, and his henchwoman, Emma Frost (January Jones) seem to possess extraordinary powers, she's led to Charles Xavier (James McAvoy), who's only just begun to experiment with his own telekinetic ability. Under the employ of the CIA, Xavier and his sidekick Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) begin to round-up other mutants in the hope of stopping Shaw. These mutants include Eric Lehnsherr (Michael Fassbender), a Holocaust survivor bent on avenging his family's murder at the hands of former Nazi Shaw.
