I LOVED when Luke said, "I hate it here!" then threw down the little smoke bomb -- POOF! -- and disappeared. I also liked when Phil was tied up and kept trying to escape right when he said something like release or whatever.
Also loved Lily silently storming out, sleep mask atop her head, unplugging Cam's keyboard & going back to bed.
The Gloria snores storyline was a little Sitcom 101, true; but I like the bait-and-switch Gloria executed at the end. I also loved the visual of Claire trying to sneak out with her drill and her soup kettle - until she didn't want to sneak out anymore.
The storyline for Luke and Phil was the best, I think. For once, this wasn't just a story about Phil practicing his Dork Arts - his concerns about Luke learning to follow through on commitments, not giving up when things get difficult, felt like real concerns for a parent. Phil's realization that Luke's talent (and his own enthusiasm) for magic wasn't enough, and that it didn't mean that it would make Luke happy was kind of bittersweet, along with the realization that it meant they wouldn't have that interest in common.
