Well that was the definition of "mixed bag."
At least we got some nice continuity with Artie turning into an ass when he directs. But I'm surprised they even aired that Christmas special (in the world of the show) at all given what a hot mess it turned out to be. Don't even the most hardcore Star Wars nerds disavow the Christmas special? I'm still not sure whether Rory's Linus moment was the best or the worst thing that happened.
Sue Sylvester as the voice of moral rectitude? Throughout the whole show, and without any sort of counterbalancing act of malice or addendum to her POV that makes it evil? Can we go ice skating in Hell now too?
I giggled when Brittany busted out "Christmas Wrapping," as the version I'm most familiar with is the Spice Girls' cover. Total surprise on hearing it tonight. But first prize goes to Mercedes and "All I Want For Christmas Is You."
