American Horror Story -1×3- Murder House

I liked the episode. I really hope Ryan Murphy is taking us somewhere, and that this pays off.

One thing that strikes me about Violet is that the more trauma she experiences in the house, the more she wants to stay. She was terrorized by the thing in the basement, then again by the home invaders, and she only gets more insistent that she loves the house. And if you recall the pilot, she's the one who said "We'll take it." What's going on with her?

Loved Viv telling the realtor how it was gonna be and that's how IT WAS GONNA BE. Now that the realtor is a recurring role I wonder what her connection to the house will turn out to be.

Was it Moira's bones in the hole, or was it the 1920s baby? I thought Ben held up the little lacy cap it was wearing.

Loved the doctor and his wife. It's like Zelda Fitzgerald's mom told her "Now, honey, I know you like that F Scott boy, but writers don't make a penny. Marry that nice surgeon." Are the souls of the aborted fetuses the ones trying to ensure Viv's pregnancy goes to term? Are they the ones who induced this pregnancy?

I'm thinking Moira's appearance has to do more with her own sense of guilt then anything else. She might have felt that she "deserved" her attack and rape, since she slept with the guy once before, or that she's inherently bad and seductive in a way that she can't control. God knows Constance hisses such ideas at her regularly. So when she's around men, or seen by men, she "appears" as this out of control sex machine who literally can't stop seducing/drugging/alluring men for one second, even though she hates it. Around women she appears as her "soul" self, an older, tired woman who desperately wants to be free, or forgiven, or something.
