Mel perhaps should have been put her place, but the way they treated her was so unnecessary and downright hurtful. Tasha turned a professional issue into a personal one and Derwin straight up lied to Melanie. He could have told her no and explained why, but to lie to her just to placate her? Naw. The truth is, all the characters in the show tries to have it both ways--Melanie is no exception. Tasha could have been blunt about Melanie's lack of experience, but she had to tell her personal business to make "med school" feel bad about herself. Melanie did play the "friend" angle, but seriously, I want Tasha to be put in check as well as Derwin. They are the most hypocritical characters on the show and this is coming from someone who loves them.
I love where they're going with Malik and TT. TT's probably a multi-millionaire while Malik's just a perpetrator. I would hope he'd learn something from this, but it's Malik, so probably not. Had to call his mama to pay his bill at the club...damn shame.
