The Vampire Diaries -4×3- The Rager

I'm excited about the new five plotline. It looks like it's going to be fun. And it's revving up nicely. Can't wait to learn more. I love the mythology on the show it just gets more interesting as the seasons go along.

So now we have confirmation of what happens when an Original is infected with werewolf venom: they hallucinate for a bit . . . then they get better.

I'm impressed with Elena. She could end up ridiculously evil if she ever lost her shit. Everyone would bend over backwards for her and she'd make them so miserable.

Connor doesn't seem to realize any of the Originals are in town---if he had, he probably wouldn't have tried werewolf venom on Rebekah, and Klaus never told Connor his supposedly rather infamous-in-vampire-circles name (and his claiming to be "faster than your average vampire" probably made Connor think Klaus was just a hybrid, not necessarily that he was an Original). So Connor's probably going to think (once he inevitably escapes from Klaus's clutches) that Matt lied to him about Rebekah being a vampire, as if he doesn't know about the Originals, the fact that the werewolf venom didn't work on her would point to her not being a vampire.

Connor has to realize that Jeremy sold him out---even if he could explain away the ambush as somehow not being Jeremy's fault, Damon bringing up the "disappearing tattoos" basically confirm that Jeremy is working with him, since Jeremy was the only person who could have told Damon about those tattoos.

And though Klaus + Damon = Win (see what happens when you two play nice?), why didn't Klaus seem even remotely pissed off at Damon? They were joyfully teaming up to taunt Connor, and last season Damon helped incapacitate Klaus. Maybe it's just that Klaus's general helpfulness in this episode (even when that helpfulness benefited him as well) does indicate a soft spot, however twisted, for these particular people. Even if he wasn't willing to kill Tyler, a hybrid, Damon at least (and probably Stefan) would have been dust if Klaus really wanted to kill them. He seemed more offended than enraged by Stefan's actions, and didn't seem angry at Damon at all.
