Once Upon a Time 1-11: "Fruit of the Poisonous Tree" 2012.01.29

I enjoyed the episode, although I find that interesting since the focus was on a character who isn't even in the main cast. But Giancarlo Esposito is doing a great job. Loved the twist that Sidney used to be the genie (from Aladdin I'm assuming) before becoming the Mirror, and how it was his own damn fault that is happened. He knew that wishes had a way of biting him in the ass, but his love (lust?) for the Evil Queen did him in.

Always great to see Richard Schiff. King Leopard had some nice moments, but between him, Midas, and King Charming, it seems every king in fairy-land is kind of off in some ways. While not evil like Charming, reading the diary was uncool and kind of creepy of him. And the fact that he knew he was showing EQ the love she needed, but still wanted to hunt down the guy she was crushing on and punish him, felt unnecessarily mean. It didn't sound like he merely wanted to find him and banish whoever the guy was; I think he had more sinister plans for the guy.

Emma was really off her game in this episode and it was painful to watch.

Still couldn't give a damn about the Stranger. On the other hand, Mr. Gold continues to be awesome.
