Community -3×3- Competitive Ecology

Besides some great jokes, the whole idea of main characters being terrible people is bold yet hilarious. The show has depicted the group as mean and petty before, but they really went for it this time.

Todd was fantastic. What a great character. Loved how he was a sweet, lovely, enthusiastic innocent at the beginning, and you can see him getting worn down by the group until he cracks. He goes from "None taken!" to "Offense taken!" The tear at the end was very sad. Poor Todd.

In the scene in the study room when they were trying to figure out how to pair up, Abed looked directly at the camera a few times. The first time I noticed was when he mentioned pairing different people for audience popularity. And he looked right at the camera. He did it a couple more times. Extra meta, I suppose.

I loved the plot with Chang. All his narration was great. "Matchbook. Something about it seemed cluey." So funny when his and Dean's narration crossed over at the end.

Excellent envelope-pushing ep.
