Revenge -2×5- Forgiveness

Things I liked:

1. The moment between Amanda and Emily, where they both admitted to hurting each other, and moved on, almost forming a genuine bond there instead of a lying about each other's identities bond.

2. Conrad's proposal. The ending sealed it. I laughed.

3. Mason Treadwell's confrontation with Victoria. Again, I laughed. Mostly because of his immediate recognition of the ridiculousness of the kidnapping plot.

4. Daniel possibly growing a tiny little brain. Let us hope. Not much, given what we've seen of him so far, but maybe a little.

5. Mason Treadwell admitting that he loves the Hamptons.

Things I didn't like:

1. Wait, so Amanda now just HAPPENS to have a convenient burn mark on her back that Emily doesn't and no one has brought this up before now? (Or did they?) After all, Daniel was sleeping with her for months, and I don't recall him ever asking, hey, what happened to your back? The strawberry allergy at least made a bit of sense.

2. Full agreement with the poster who earlier mentioned that no hospital would ever allow that many people, much less non family members, in a maternal recovery room even with a mother and a baby who WEREN'T just deprived of oxygen and near death. Since I assume the under the radar Kara Clarke was probably NOT carrying identification and Emily never recognized her anyway, and Mason Treadwell is most certainly not a relative, that really leaves only Jack and Charlotte, and very arguably Declan, who should be jumping in and out of the room like that. Geesh.

3. Also, so nice that the hospital gown just happened to open at the right moment for Mason Treadwell to notice important details.

4. Charlotte, Charlotte, your mother is in the running for Worst Parent Ever, and no, inviting Amanda Clarke's mother who at BEST has failed to communicate with her daughter for years and allowed the daughter to enter juvie and a mental institution to stay is no reason to start trusting her.

5. Jennifer Jason Leigh. I don't know what it is about her or the character but she is grating on me.

6. The inept researching of the start up money for Nolcorp, and while we're at it, just how bad ARE those records and how far back is the IRS looking? I realize that wasn't why Padma was investigating but still.

7. The confusing timeline. I honestly have no idea how much time passed here -- enough for Emily to emerge from the coma and Jack and Declan to fix the bar and get it inspected again for those characters, but seemingly only one or two days for all of the Grayson characters? Confusing.

The Walking Dead 3-3: "Walk With Me"

Andrea, stop drinking the Kool-Aid and run!! She missed way too many hints that things were not okay. Any community that tames Meryl's unhinged ass is bound to be scary. And only men protect the walls? Women don't have eyes? Seriously, Andrea, what about that was normal (by ZA standards of normality) She herself insisted on having a gun and learning to shoot but she's fine with an entire community that confines its women? Dumb.

I've barely met her but I already love Michonne. She's practical as hell. Zombie repellent attracting attention? Off with their heads. Creepy town pinging her survival radar? Get the hell out. I liked the way she kept a careful eye on who was following them, while Andrea never noticed they were being tailed at all. I did suspect the Governor was bad news, but he presents well and gives off a caring vibe; I'm just naturally mistrustful. I didn't expect him to slaughter a group of survivors. That was unpleasant. I wondered where the military were and there they were, and then they were all dead. Poor bastards. I was also waiting for the armchair reveal. I did expect to see a little zombie girl in chains or something, but the Horror Aquarium? No, I didn't expect that at all.

I think I'd rather take my chances at the prison than spend any time in Woodbury.

Once Upon a Time 2-5: "The Doctor"

This was an odd way for things to go. The real time Storybrooke plot was surprisingly light, with Daniel being brought back and dispatched so quickly. That Dr. Whale would resurrect him without securing a deal first was foolish, but I was mildly amused that his arm was ripped off and he had to ask Mr. Gold to fix it.

The flashbacks were interesting. I suspected Rumpel was playing Regina, but that Jefferson was directly involved surprised me. I can see the more adventurous Jefferson and Rumpel working together toward all kinds of mischief, and I would enjoy seeing more in the future. I smiled when Rumpel thanked Victor for his help in making Rumpel’s monster, and wished him luck on his. “I’m not making a monster.” “Sure you aren’t.”

Victor/Dr. Whale worked in better than I expected him too, but it is still an odd fit into this mytharc. The science is more powerful than magic bit was a little overused, but the switch to black and white at the end was a nice touch. The younger Regina seemed especially gullible to me, both toward Rumple and toward Victor. And her turnaround to taking hearts – and wearing evil queen outfits – was incredibly sudden.

For the Fairy Tale Land side of things, I’m glad to see that the heroines quickly suspected Hook, and refused to take his evasions, and that even though they are following him, they remain skeptical of his motives. I see Emma’s power is working again; I hope now that it has re-emerged it is more consistent.

The Vampire Diaries -4×3- The Rager

I'm excited about the new five plotline. It looks like it's going to be fun. And it's revving up nicely. Can't wait to learn more. I love the mythology on the show it just gets more interesting as the seasons go along.

So now we have confirmation of what happens when an Original is infected with werewolf venom: they hallucinate for a bit . . . then they get better.

I'm impressed with Elena. She could end up ridiculously evil if she ever lost her shit. Everyone would bend over backwards for her and she'd make them so miserable.

Connor doesn't seem to realize any of the Originals are in town---if he had, he probably wouldn't have tried werewolf venom on Rebekah, and Klaus never told Connor his supposedly rather infamous-in-vampire-circles name (and his claiming to be "faster than your average vampire" probably made Connor think Klaus was just a hybrid, not necessarily that he was an Original). So Connor's probably going to think (once he inevitably escapes from Klaus's clutches) that Matt lied to him about Rebekah being a vampire, as if he doesn't know about the Originals, the fact that the werewolf venom didn't work on her would point to her not being a vampire.

Connor has to realize that Jeremy sold him out---even if he could explain away the ambush as somehow not being Jeremy's fault, Damon bringing up the "disappearing tattoos" basically confirm that Jeremy is working with him, since Jeremy was the only person who could have told Damon about those tattoos.

And though Klaus + Damon = Win (see what happens when you two play nice?), why didn't Klaus seem even remotely pissed off at Damon? They were joyfully teaming up to taunt Connor, and last season Damon helped incapacitate Klaus. Maybe it's just that Klaus's general helpfulness in this episode (even when that helpfulness benefited him as well) does indicate a soft spot, however twisted, for these particular people. Even if he wasn't willing to kill Tyler, a hybrid, Damon at least (and probably Stefan) would have been dust if Klaus really wanted to kill them. He seemed more offended than enraged by Stefan's actions, and didn't seem angry at Damon at all.

Arrow -1×3- Lone Gunmen

It would suck if that's the last we hear of Deadshot. It seems like a terrible waste of a villain.

So Diggle now officially knows. Which is awesome, because that will hopefully lead to more Diggle. Diggle's been the gem of the show. If they want to give him some of Thea's time, I won't complain.

We saw Laurel kick some ass, so we got a bit of Black Canary. This was the best episode for Laurel.

Another mystery solved, at least for me. So all of Ollie's equipment is in the basement of the warehouse/factory. It must have some hidden doors so anyone first walking in wouldn't have any idea all that stuff is there to steal. In this case I actually appreciated the voiceover as annoying as it is. I thought the three guys were standing in the same building as Ollie's stuff but couldn't figure out how he was going to hide it with a night club there. Oh and I guess the employees won't be venturing down there for any supplies.

Modern Family -4×5- Open House of Horrors

OMG...the angel & devil talking to Manny. Loved that the angel was a baseball player angel. The little things like that make me love this show!

Also loved Lily's "Are we poor?" line.

Obviously it was Claire at the end trying to scare Phil, but still she pulled it off pretty well. Loved that Manny was the one that got hit with the egg.

Rueben was very funny. "I know a walk-in closet when I see one."

"Are those the kind of girls you want?"
Manny - "They're all the kind of girls we want."

I thought hormonal Gloria was going to make me want to murder her but it was funnier than I thought it would be.

Oh, and I want that Craftsman.

American Horror Story: Asylum -2×2- Tricks And Treats

I can tolerate a lot of creepy but I don't like possession or demons or stuff like that.

Was Kit taking Lana's notes a genuine attempt to help / protect her? Or did he just want to see her escape plan? Also, Kit can't be BloodyFace now because BloodyFace killed Mrs Pizer right?

The NotSoGood Dr. is a real piece of work but I don't think he's Bloody Face. He's too damn tall. James Cromwell could play The Jolly Green Giant at a moment's notice and whoever is playing the serial killer is a completely different build. Do you think the prostitute will go to the cops or no?

The actor playing the possessed kid really brought it. That was horrifying. When the parents were describing what their son had done I was "Okay, sounds like the sudden onslaught of Bipolar syndrome or a psychotic break." But when they showed him I said "NOPE. That is the DEVIL. Not a devil, the devil." But considering how this place is run, I can't blame him for showing up. Hell is empty, and all the devils are there.

Sister Eunice is going to lead the Dr. a merry chase. I wonder what the hell happened to him to inspire such an extreme pathology? Talk about physician, heal thyself!

Shelly was great telling her story--and a nice line between a woman who enjoys sex and nymphomania (which was seen last season.) She just had a really high sex drive and was trapped in a society where she had absolutely no outlet, not even in marriage. As she said, as soon as the ring was on her finger her former free thinking mate became her owner. He kept screwing around but she was expected to just be a wife/servant, and when she rebelled he committed her!

Gossip Girl -6×3- Dirty Rotten Scandals

First of all, it’s absolutely ridiculous that Nate doesn’t know the laws around libel/defamation. DUDE, you work at a news publication and you had to do a Google search? Seriously? God, Nate, you really are just a pretty face. I mean, good that you know the laws of having sex with a potential minor, but holy hell. I’m just glad that Dan seemed to have a decent grasp on whether or not he could be sued for what was being printed because SOMEONE should. (And, really, that someone should be Nate, but I digress.)

And what was the big deal about Sage stripping down to her skivvies during Blair’s fashion show? This was a thing? Like there’s never been a teenage model in her underwear walking down the runway? A stunt like that was nowhere near the scandal they made it out to be.

Speaking of the fashion show, my how the mighty have fallen. Has Blair always been like this? She’s almost to the point of unwatchable. Especially contrasted with what they’re now doing with Nelly Yuki (her adorable, but somewhat heart breaking, attempt to pick up Dan aside). They still have her being somewhat of still a schemer, but unlike Blair she's not screeching about minions and flailing around for Chuck Bass. Ugh. And the headbands? Is this supposed to be a cute throwback to first and second season? Because all it’s doing is making Blair look like an ass. A grown woman who’s trying to become a fashion designer/head up a major design label does not need to be prancing around in headgear coordinated with her outfits. Just, no.

Also, this episode just confirmed that I don’t understand Chuck and Blair’s relationship/pact at all. They’re basically acting as each other’s boyfriend/girlfriend by providing each other support, non? But they can’t have sex? What? WHY? I just don’t get the correlation between making themselves into “full people” (or whatever bullshit Blair was rambling about in the premiere) before they can be together and not having sex/physical contact with each other, but still relying on one another as if they’re in a relationship. It makes NO sense.

90210 -5×3- It’s All Fun and Games

Does anyone else think that these friends are totally way too into themselves? When Annie lost Dixon, she came to Naomi who then told Annie that she had a bad day. Annie then goes on to talk more about Dixon and how he's missing. Naomi doesn't seem too sympathetic. Then Naomi re-states that she had a bad day and Annie just says bye. Wouldn't normal friends INQUIRE as to why the other had a bad day, wouldn't they try to sympathize a little?? Same thing happened when Annie spoke to Liam. Annie didn't ask Liam what was on his mind, and Liam didn't seem bothered about Dixon missing. I know that when something big happens to you, you can lose sight of the rest of the world, but it just seemed so weird.

What was with the trapeze rip-off scene from Sex and the City? THAT was the scariest thing Silver could think of??

Ok, as IF the detective would cut Liam off the SECOND he's about to confess!!! AND AS IF A LAWYER WOULDN'T RECOGNIZE THAT LIAM WAS TALKING ABOUT HIMSELF WHEN HE ASKED THAT RIDICULOUS QUESTION ABOUT WITNESSING AN ACCIDENT!!! Also, didn't we already know that Vanessa was a huge identity thief?? Annie discovered it last year when she noted that Vanessa had a million credit cards, no?? So couldn't Liam have figured out that MAYBE the contract wasn't valid if Vanessa was not her real name!?

Naomi is a moron and should have seen the whole set-up from a mile away. As if Max's friend is just TOO attracted to her that he can't stop himself from kissing her? PLEASE. That had set-up written all over it, and she's just stupid for not RUNNING to Max to tell him before his friend screws everything up. Good for him for getting photos. He certainly knows how to play dirty.

666 Park Avenue -1×4- Hero Complex

Well, in the battle of the supporting characters, I found Nona to be much more interesting then the writer/wife/hot assistant triangle from hell, so this episode at least had that going for it. Intrigued over her apparently being able to see some form of the future and wondering what is the deal with her grandmother.

Prez from The Wire is the Smoke Monster! As great as it was to see Jim True-Frost again, I have to think these guys would have realize having that and Terry O'Quinn on the same show will automatically make people think of Lost, which seems like a bad idea to me because, if anything, it will make former Lost fans want to just watch that show again and it would make those who didn't like that show, probably not be thrilled to relive that again. But I'm looking forward to seeing Prez again next episode. Also good seeing Jose Zungia. The show at least can get some good guest stars.

Henry and Jane worked better as a couple this time, but I still find them kind of boring as a whole, and still wish this show focused more on Gavin and Olivia doing what they do best. I don't think Dave Annabelle and Rachel Taylor are bad per say, but they are serviceable, while Terry O'Quinn and Vanessa Williams are stand-outs. They can do great stuff with just looks and minimal dialogue, compared to all the stuff we get with Henry and Jane.

Ratings actually went back up to 1.8 in the 18-49 demo. Granted, the ratings Sunday were a bit wonky since CBS' football went long, so this show went against The Good Wife instead of The Mentalist. And it is still bleeding a ton of viewers from Once/Revenge, so I have no idea what ABC is planning with this.
