The Vampire Diaries -3×8- Orindary People

I quite liked that. It felt really calm and low key, which is unusual for this show. I think we learned some important things about Klaus and about vampires themselves. I didn't understand why the original witch would hate her own son so much if she was killed by her husband but Klaus being the culprit makes sense. Explains why Klaus in particular would be so afraid of Mikael.

I loved the scenes between Stefan and Damon and I liked that Elena acknowledged several things that we have been saying here. Stefan's compulsion will not just go away, you have to kill Klaus for that to happen. Her love is not enough to make him fight the compulsion. It wasn't what motivated him to go to Klaus in the first place. That was Damon. His bond with his brother has always been what motivated Stefan from the very beginning and that has not changed. I'm glad that Damon is now aware of that, I wasn't so sure he was before.

I like this Stefan, he's fun and sarcastic. I want him to be free but I certainly hope that he doesn't spend the next hundred years wallowing in guilt for what he has done under Klaus.
