Katherine and Damon road trip - YES!!!
Gah, those Jeremy/Anna scenes just proved how much I miss her. I like how they utilized her a lot more and explained just a bit more about the 'Darkness' without giving much away. Plus, no Vicki, so I was very, very happy. On the other hand, I fear that Anna's actually the one that's on the dark side so I'm trying to be very wary right now. However, that last scene with her trying to get through to Jeremy with her pained expression and silent screams killed me. This storyline has finally picked.
I was hoping Gloria would stick around longer, especially with Bonnie returning. I thought that they'd connect when Gloria was contacting the necklace and Bonnie interfered, but nothing really came of it.
As soon as Bonnie said that she couldn't get in contact with the dead witches, my thoughts immediately went to 'then why can't Jeremy? He can see ghosts, after all'. It would make sense if he could only see the dead witches, especially since they caused this.
LOVE this new potential Alaric storyline with the council and Bill and its ramifications for Elena, Jer, and Damon. Alaric really needed something juicy to work with. I do wonder about the Klaus connection due to his former possession, I mean Klaus did have Stefan compelled for like 90 years no?
Speaking Of Bill, I wonder if this Michael could possibly be Bill Forbes. Far-fetched ? This is The Vampire Diaries, after all. Plus, you don't get Jack Coleman and have him do two episodes with such a quiet and anticlimatic exit ! There has to be more to it.
I really like Rebekah. So nice to have several strong female vamps now (her, Kath, Caro).
Caroline definitely ruled tonight with her fight with Damon (although it was a bit unrealistic that she could hold her own that well) and in calling out Elena on her feelings for Damon. I even liked the conversation with her dad at the end because it was unexpected that he still wasn't willing to accept her as a vampire even though she had saved his life.
Was that possibly Elijah's coffin Stefan was looking at and contemplating opening? Me thinks it was!
