Desperate Housewives -8×2- Making the Connection
Had they made Susan's actions less silly and trivial then I could have understood (maybe?) her struggle that she had to stay silent, but still felt a need to atone. Pay some price. The idea seems to be that she feels guilt and wants to be punished...somehow. Being Susan, though, the writers threw her into a storyline where she's commiting a lot of minor madcap capers and just looking stupid.
Ultimately, for me, the set-up for the dead molester storyline is nonsensical. As has been pointed out here before, the stepfather who molested Gabby as a child breaks into their home and is terrorizing her again -- a home with two young girls upstairs -- and Gabby's husband walks in and hits him over the head with a candlestick and the immediate reaction is to cover it up and hide the body? The fact that his phone rang when they were burying him and they discovered that he had a new family would not have made me feel more guilty about it.
Lynette...I don't even care at this point. I don't think that there is really anything left to say.
Ending on an upnote since I think that this is suppose to be comedy? (I forget that sometimes.)
Carlos: "FYI, Guys who used to be blind don't enjoy reliving it."
So my theories on the note so far. Susan wrote the note and will began terrorizing the ladies one by one and then finally snap in the finale with the last shot of the series being her in the loony bin.
Or the note will be about something completely different.
