I have never cried at a sitcom more than I did last night. I thought that Ed O'Neill was phenomenal in this episode. I could have done without Phil's silliness but I thought that Jay's emotions were right on target for someone missing their mom around Mother's Day.
My favorite line of the night was when Gloria called Claire Diablo! I also liked how reluctant she was to complain about Manny. I knew she had to have something to get off her ample chest...even if it was buried down deep.
