Gotham City has now become the new maximum security "home" for all of the city's criminals. Not much else was revealed. Warner Bros. says the game will feature a brand-new story, include a new cast of classic characters and villains, and new enhanced gameplay features.
"Developed by Rocksteady Studios, Batman: Arkham City builds upon the intense, atmospheric foundation of Batman: Arkham Asylum, sending players soaring into Arkham City, the new maximum security 'home' for all of Gotham City’s thugs, gangsters and insane criminal masterminds," read a press release.
"Set inside the heavily fortified walls of a sprawling district in the heart of Gotham City, this highly anticipated sequel introduces a brand-new story that draws together a new all-star cast of classic characters and murderous villains from the Batman universe, as well as a vast range of new and enhanced gameplay features to deliver the ultimate experience as the Dark Knight."
Catwoman has been confirmed, and it looks like she might be getting a big role in the story. Check out these new GameInformer covers.
Mark Hamill confirmed in an interview last May he'll be reprising his role as the voice of Joker for the game for the last time ever. "This will be my last, there's no question about that," he said. "But it's the last hurrah."
This is pretty exciting news, the first game was pretty good and this one sounds like it will be on par if not better
