The Boondocks: Lovely Ebony Brown (Season 3 Ep. 11)

So Robert finally lands a woman -- a perfectly sane, normal woman -- and then loses her due to his insecurities. And Riley feeding those insecurities certainly didn't help. Still, I loved that Ebony sort of broke the fourth wall by subtly mentioning Robert's adventures with other "characters." And Robert doubting he had all that many "episodes" left? Nice double reference to his own life and the series' imminent cancellation.

And Ruckus actually likes a black woman, for once? Go figure. Though when he talked about being glad to have no black women in his life, I was waiting for either Robert or Tom to say that he has no women in his life. But now for the bad part. Why, oh, why did Aaron have to subject us to his friggin' tuba theme FIVE TIMES IN ONE EPISODE?!

On another note, I LOL'd at the flashbacks to Robert's other failed relationships with Carlita, Tara, and Ellen. But I liked that Huey and Riley cared enough to save him in the case of that last one.

Pretty good episode, on the whole.
