Modern Family -3×19- Election Day

I know this show is going to eventually have Haley go to a college, but I'm hoping that they try to show what happens to the kids that just don't have the brains or the drive to make up for it and therefore college isn't the right thing for them. Plus the list was laughable, Haley seems like a C/D student who tried for the last year and is now a B student. It's not like Haley doesn't have skills, she's a people person and not just because she's good looking. I would love to see her probably show her salesmanship skills and have a path working with her Dad.

 Cam and Mitch were hilariously drunk on power with the car megaphone and it was great just seeing them laugh together.

 The phone scene was hilarious and really showed their personalities well. Alex was trying to keep everyone focused, Gloria couldn't fall back on her looks, and Manny was able to convince adults because he's one of the only mature and logical people in the group.

Ringer -1×21- It’s Called Improvising, Bitch!

 This episode just brought the full-on, no-holds-barred crazy, something it had only hinted at previously. It had my eyes rolling so far back into my head that I must have looked like I was having a religious experience. That is, if there had been anyone around to witness me indulging in the guilty pleasure of watching this show.

 Maybe Siobhan signed into the hospital as her alter ego, Cora? But if so, who was paying for it? Tool Belt, I suppose. Lucky that apart from having mostly invisible sons, he also seems to have an endless bank account. However, of all the ridiculous implausibilities, and there were too many to count, what was Oksana the Russian whore/maid doing with a mansion like that? I don't think it was the client's mansion, because how would Shiv have found her? I thought whores didn't make that much -- an earlier episode title taught me that very fact!

 As soon as Juliet got home and saw her mother holding her father and Shiv at gunpoint I was praying Juliet would leap in front and take a bullet for dear old dad. I must be a very bad person. But apart from wanting that to happen, I was expecting Juliet to die this episode: it would satisfy the hunger for cliché that this show instills in me, much as eating a Pringle makes me want to eat tubes and tubes of Pringles even though I know they are like intestinal glue. Poor little innocent Juliet! And then Catherine could have had a wonderful breakdown and repentance scene.

 The Olivia/Catherine lesbian scenes just made me wince. Catherine was getting it on with Mr Carpenter and was trying to seduce Andrew -- I suppose if you're crazy, on this show, you're up for absolutely anything. Let's make out! No, now I'm going to kill you! All in a day's work for crazy Catherine. Luckily Agent Handsome never confiscated ex-agent Guyliner's handcuffs along with his badge and gun.

 Please, show, please come back! I know I shouldn't, but I love you.

Glee -3×15- Big Brother

Wow.....uhhh.....so I really hated that. I mean really. The only good thing was Quinn and Artie and Matt Bomer. (I kind of need Cooper Anderson and Jesse St. James to meet and offer Master Classes in Acting, Reality Show Judging and Shower Choir Competitions.)

The rest......just ugh. Way, way, way, too much Blaine. And it served no purpose. That rendition of Fighter was the worst Blaine performance I have ever seen. I really, really, really did not like it. And that shower scene? That is what everyone was going so crazy over? I just don't see it. The Duran Duran was good, but the performance saved that.

 Senior ditch day could have had great potential but ended up being lame-o.

 The only really useful thing that came out of this episode was the introduction of LA as a possible destination for some if not all of the kids.

 I guess I need to marinate on this, but I really did not like this episode. RIB have demonstrated yet again, that they do not know how to come back from hiatus.

Gossip Girl -5×19- It Girl, Interrupted

 I wish Serena didn’t give DB the green light in 516 if she was only going to act like this, I may have some sympathy for her then. Couldn’t believe what she was doing last night, some was in character but the manipulation and in your face lying wasn’t.

 The whole Chuck mom thing is such a handbrake on the show, going back over old ground and sucking the life out of the whole show.

 Elizabeth Hurley, being told she is beautiful and she is hot doesn’t make it so, I’d settle for some decent acting from her at this stage.

 Yay for Blair calling Chuck out twice, it was great to see. Some things are not to be forgotten. It was either ironic or a coincidence that the day he paid the dowry, he comes crawling for help. Blair was so right to accuse him of always having an agenda. Didn’t need Dan and Blair telling us how selfless Chuck was, he was only righting his wrong, it was the least he could do, he doesn’t get a medal for that.

 Blair at the beginning so excited to be able to finally do things with Dan as a couple and Dan planning out the perfect day and just wanting to spend time with her, perfect. The MET scene was way too short but priceless, I was expecting cheese but it wasn’t too bad. The looks and steadfast eye contact was better than a thousand words. Delighted they haven’t lost their biting banter in the transition.

Ringer -1×20- If You’re Just An Evil Bitch Then Get Over It

Fun episode, Catherine is certainly batshit crazy and it's kind of fun to watch.

That being said, I'm going to assume that once again she's going to fail to kill the woman who destroyed her marriage though.

Bridget and Victor working together seems so odd but he's being progressively less annoying so I guess it works.

Can we please find out where Olivia and Malcolm are now?

Even when she's trying to help, Siobhan manages to screw up, doesn't she?

Henry vs. Tim is amusing enough.

Liked pretty much all of Andrew and Juliet's scene.

Gossip Girl -5×18- Con-Heir

This episode what can I say, I liked all of it.

Even Daddy Vandercreepson taking his time to take in the sight of Blair in garters. Such a nice acting touch from Billy Baldwin, even though as it turned out, William is mending fences with his children (including Lola it would seem), he’s still a sleeze.

Being back in the loft is doing wonders for Rufus (if not for his son’s sex life lol), he’s using his brain again. Lilly was quite ready to trust William, but Rufus was (sort of rightly as it turned out) hesitant to buy into the Vandercreepson cool aid. That said for some reason we also had the return of the crepy laugh from Rufus this week (when lighting the stove), what is that seriously ? settle we know you can do better!

Nate is getting a SL and to me it looks vaguely interesting, hoozah! I think his arc looks like it going to be about balancing business needing to turn to his ex cougar Diana and his love life with Lola. Loved the new strict Nate firing Serena. Yes it was a classically well intended Serena cock-up, but nevertheless it did have disastrous results for the Spectator and DID go against her editors express wishes.

Chuck and uncle Jack were adorable. I knew Jack was lying, but I think his coming from a good place for once. I think his ‘we’re all the family we need’ might have been a gentle way of letting Chuck know he wouldn’t necessarily like what he’d find, which considering the Bass family sounds like sound advice to me. Interesting that didn’t show who he was calling this time, last time they clearly showed Diana. So is he calling someone else this time? Ed Westwick seemed to be relishing the chance to show his one liner skills again. Good for him. Also of course Jack Bass would get hepatitis from Pamela Anderson.

Side note: if Bart Bass were to turn up alive (unlikely I agree I still call flash back on that one) would that make Lilly a polyandrist?

Serena/Lola/Lilly/Ivy
It’s weird but I still feel kinda sorry for Ivy. Yes she’s been shady, but I do feel she cared for Cece and Lilly is being overboard and conveniently dismissing that Cece knew exactly who Ivy was.

And then there was Dan and Blair. I love the lighter, comedic angle on these two. The highlight of the episode was the contrasting conversations with Nate and Dorota. I loved how LM kept pouring herself vodka.

Desperate Housewives -8×19- With So Little to Be Sure Of

The cop's over-the-top hatred of Bree has to be his downfall. Does he have a vendetta against all of Chuck's exes, like his wife, or just Bree? It's all such nonsense.

I absolutely love Scott Bakula in this role. He could have made it so much hammier, which I would have hated and which is how the character seemed to be written, but he rocked.

Susan's storyline was so freaking stupid. Yeah, just bring this bullshit out of nowhere. For some reason, it reminded me of the short story Jon Stewart had in his "Naked Pictures of Famous People" about the weekend he hung out with JFK, and how his mom kept gestating pregnancies over the course of a few hours and there was an infinite number of secret Kennedys locked in the basement, some of which had genetic abnormalities and MRDD, and others were just mutants. And watch it never, ever be mentioned again. Watch out, Julie. Porter or Parker or Preston or Piccadilly Scavo will probably mistake your baby for a ham and put it in the oven at some point. He really is that stupid. But hey, you slept with the kid you babysat, which makes you just as stupid. To think I once liked you and felt you had the sense your mother lacked.

I hate Jane, but recognize she isn't even a character at this point and is simply a plot device. Lynette's reaction with the green velvet batter was awesome, though. We cheered her on. Then, though we felt kinda bad for it, we made fun of her for crying in the car. Seriously though, was this Jane's idea of a birthday gift for Tom? What a bitch. He's known you for six months. He's been married to Lynette for 25 years. Get over yourself.

Hate Carlos immensely now. Never cared for him much either way, though he was the least least favorite of the househusbands, but now I am in full on hate mode. Selfish asshole, especially playing the emasculation card. Gabby helped support your ass before- remember the whole blindness thing? Yeah, she was flirting with her clients, but that's what you do! Waitresses flirt, saleswomen flirt, personal shoppers flirt, it's what they do. Would you really be happier living in a cardboard box on Wisteria Lane, rather than the house you're in? Go die in a fire, asshole.

90210 -4×20- Blue Ivy

Hmm decent episode my expectations weren't too high but I didn't mind it.

Annie and the priest? Naomi and whatshisface? I'm indifferent to both. I don't mind the Caleb but he and Nick Zano may as well be the same character for all I care. I don't see either man staying long in the show. I do however love Annie and Naomi's scenes together and with Ivy... and I hate Annie but for some reason her just being in the background this season has really worked for the character. It's when she gets all obnoxious, self righteous or MY MONEY that the character goes to shit.

Dixon and Adrianna? I don't blame him for leaving and I think Adrianna will eventually understand but they way it was done (probably due to Tristan being ill) just seemed like a poor version of One Tree Hill.

OK so is it me or did Navid just come back hotter?! Also, I'm totally rooting for him and Silver to end up together in the long run and I don't think they've ever intrigued me in the slightest.

I'm not really opposed or into the Silver/Liam hookup. I think they have a nice chemistry but I don't think we're supposed to view it as a deep connection. The hook up was purely based on how low the both of them felt and given how needy the both of them are for opposite sex company, it seemed exactly like how they distract themselves from feeling shitty. I feel bad for Navid in all of this given that Liam is supposed to be his friend and he and Silver blatantly still love each other.

The speeches for Raj were sweet but given that we had rarely seen him interact with the gang, I found it hard to care. Ivy was brilliant in all her scenes though. Gillian Zinser is so underrated.

Once.Upon.a.Time.S01E18. The Stable Boy

Yeah that went about how I expected to to go. I was kind of hoping Regina's lost love was a baby and not her true love made of boring pretty boy, just to shake up the story a little. The little girl was almost creepy in her copy of Snow's mannerisms. I loved seeing the evolution of Regina from essentially good to her Snow hating self except that it was so freaking petty. Her mother killed Daniel and Snow was a little girl who was painstakingly manipulated into talking. Put the blame on the right person Regina!

Gold = Magnificent Bastard. What would this show be without him? Now I am curious about one thing. At the beginning flash back "one week ago" was I not listening close enough to Gold's request for a deal? Because it sounded suspiciously like he never actually promised a result! I'll have to re watch I'm sure but it sounded an awful lot like a long plan to get Mary blamed for murder with no conclusion to the plan. Stuff which has already happened and he never promised to get Mary killed or sent from Storybrooke. So he didn't renege on the deal at all when he let Katherine go. Er...assuming that was the bit of magic he was talking about.

Thank goodness they addressed Emma's failing "super power" because she failed big time with Sydney. Glad that finally got resolved but I hope she's clever enough not to approach him about it and instead keep him on board. Better the evil Regina plan you know about than a new one, right? I'm not holding my breath for her to be smart, though.

"Henry, I left my code book at home." I kind of love Henry in small doses. Speaking of, is he ever going to notice that Gold walks around calling his mother "your majesty"? I'll be amused if that's how he figures out Rumpel's identity.

Regina's mother is the Miller's Daughter who made lots of "deals" to get where she is. Nice reference to the original story there, writers. I could use an episode now! I wonder where she got all that magic though. Kind of a given that Regina got it by killing Cora later on (like Rumpel said in Heart of Darkness, killing the evil being will make you as evil as she is).

As long as August and Emma remain platonic I'm cool with him. Mary Margaret obviously doesn't watch enough television. The first rule of being put on trial for murder? Listen to your FREAKING LAWYER! She's rapidly joining Hansel and Emma in the land of too stupid to live.

The Secret Circle -1×18- Sacrifice

The show certainly does seem to be getting better! The addition of Blackwell has made things much more interesting, possibly because he's bridging the gap between the generations. He's actively involving himself, for better or worse, with the current Circle, whereas Jane, Dawn, Charles, etc., either cleaned up the kids' messes or plotted against them. Heck, I even like Cassie and Jake around him. Jake seems to have been easily influenced in the past by surrogate father figures, so his following John is consistent with the little we know about him, while Cassie wants a father, but isn't quite all in as far as trusting him goes (loved the miniature golf conversation!). Faye and Melissa were awesome as usual, but who knew Adam could be fun? More of this, please!


I wasn't all that interested in Diana's storyline, though I'm glad that the kid didn't turn out to be a witchhunter; well, yet, anyway. You'd think the kids would stay off of boats.
