Gossip Girl Season 4 Ep 7 : War Of The Roses I am actually glad that the show did address Blair's loose side and have Eleanor's speech at the end. I'm tired of Blair being written as so stiff. I'm glad they remembered she does know how to party when she really wants to. I just wish it hadn't been with Chuck at the end. Now that I have that off my mind, I am going to say that I was disgusted by S and Colin. It's like a retread of Tripp. Sure, she left at the end, but really? I loathe that S now is so flighty that she needs a chaperone in order not to dive at a guy. Also, that office scene did disgust me. They are trying to sell this relationship as sexy, but I'm just not buying it. So, the week of Blair's b-day is definitely a busy milestone: season 2 it was also Bass Industries founding and now it's LR's aniversary as well. Loved Eric as usual and the talk about Jenny. I should be mad at Dan, but he owned up that he was behaving like an "eighth grader" and I do take his side: if CB can truce, than Jenny should be allowed back in the city. (Besides, Blair and Chuck never apologized to Jenny for their behavior last week.) Hoping that the Jack and Elizabeth mentions means either one or the other will reappear later this season. Monday, November 1, 201090210 Season 3 Ep 6 : I See London I See France I liked there was a lot of focus on Navid, and Silver was right, he really is a decent guy, even with those who don't deserve it, like Harper and Adrianna. I thought the Cannon stuff wrapped up a little too nicely, but I guess they are setting the stage for something bigger, because it felt like the ending of a horror movie with the killer having conveniently vanished after the heroine had vanquished him only for him to appear again to kill her before the credits. I also have no idea how Ryan wasn't fired. I can't see how being drunk and destroying school property really only merits a suspension for a teacher. I can't even get into the stupidity of the purse/drug dealer storyline. It's utterly absurd, and Liam deserves something more than this. I remain interested in Teddy's story. I'm not sure exactly where they are going with it, but it's probably the most original storyline on this show at the moment, and light years more interesting than the saga of Ivy and Dixon, the world's most lackluster couple. And Annie didn't win an underachievement award? How is it possible that the girl who killed someone and covered it up isn't the greatest underachiever in that class? Did she lose points because her punishment was so light? Dexter Season 5 Ep 6 : Everything Is Illuminated I'm loving the Lumen storyline- can't wait to find out more. I was also happy to see some vulnerability from Dex in the bathroom where Rita died. Still, please no romance between these two yet maybe S6 if she's still around (I hope she is). Dexter- you're no longer allowed to call yourself a 'very neat monster'. Get your sloppy ass in order! Matsuka- LOVE. This guy needs a spin-off show. The Walking Dead Season 1 Ep 1 : Days Gone Bye That was brilliant. I wasn't expecting that level of emotional detail. I guess I should have been given who is involved, but I loved it. They've definitely got me. By far the best show I've seen premier this season (thats not saying much though). I just loved the scene in the park that Rick had with the crawling torso zombie. Terrific and nuanced. Desperate Housewives Season 7 Ep 6 : Excited and Scared Susan taking on Paul? Awesome. I'd love to see more of this side of her more often. Paul, you really are an ass, but Mark Moses plays you brilliantly. Poor Juanita. I'll agree with Carlos, I think they should back off on Grace a bit. Enjoyed the continuity with Bree's alcoholic storyline from Season 2. I was hoping that the storyline involving Tom's mother would be stretched out longer, but this storyline was probably my favorite of the Scavo's for a long while.
